Default Corvette Club of Norway members visit Mike@Criswell today in search of a C7/pics/stor

I get many visitors from across the USA but today two members of the Corvette Club of Norway stopped by Criswell. They had seen my pictures/articles on the Corvette Forum and ads in Hemmings Motor News so they decided to take a slight detour from their cross country trek from East Coast to San Francisco, CA. Jon and his good buddy are driving this 1964 Cadillac de Ville Convt on the Lincoln Highway Centennial Tour. See his web site www.lh2013.com or follow them on Facebook. Over 1,000 members in this Norway Corvette Club...Neither of them have ever seen so many New Corvettes in inventory...they must have walked our lot for 2 hrs! They need to find a used C7 to bring across the pond and figure they will have to wait approx. 18 mos...it will be well worth the wait. The C7 is a world class sports car.

~Enjoy the pics...

I gave them a bunch of brochures and lic plate frames.

they left me with their Corvette Club of Norway Journal...none of it I can read of course....but the pictures are cool.

1964 Cadillac Convt restored and ready for their run across the US of A.

My Mother owned the same car brand new in 64. Her's was Green. I still remember her license plates for some odd reason~ KOG 477

Very cool. I can just imagine their reaction seeing all those vettes. It's not like they can just cruise into a dealership over there and see something like that.

Sounds like a great trip they are doing.

You are correct. I spent some time at Lemans with the largest Corvette dealer in Europe and he was from Sweden. He said he gets maybe 20 per yr if he's lucky.

Have an old friend that sold his 58 vette on eBay and the buyer that bought it was in Norway and that is where is vette is now located.

They must have as crazy tax in Norway as we do in Finland (new C7 would cost about 147k$ here)

Mike,

Great story. I'm so glad you took the time to accommodate them. Thank you for being a good ambassador for our country and us Corvette aficionados.

Dave,
Thank you Dave. I plan on introducing myself at Carlisle this yr as I assume you will be there. Below is a quote more people should read and understand.

"Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle"
