I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot of C6 luggage going cheap on ebay pretty soon.

With this marketing approach, smaller dealers will never sell any vettes or have incentive to sell them. After the initial hype ends, hopefully large dealers can keep selling since the buyers will have to come from increasing distance. Good for the buyers since this is a sure way to hefty incentives.

Ask all the other Corvette accessory sellers the same question like Mid America, West Coast Corvette, Corvette Store Online, etc. Someone must be buying Corvette luggage and that means someone is making money off of them. Isn't that the way it is supposed to work?

Lot of Clueless in this thread.
It's not about the car. Where GM screwed up is in doing this as a vehicle reveal at the NCM.
Should have been done as a program reveal to dealers.
I bet within two weeks of these landing at dealerships every one of them is sold.

You do understand there is a method to the generals seeming madness. The C7 requires a major investment in specialized tools and training for the service dept techs that will be working on these cars. There are many dealers in rural areas that simply have no desire to do so. Their target market just doesn't justify it.

It is unfortunate for the smaller dealer but probably better off for the customer in the long run. I know a dealer in a town near us who maybe has a single new Corvette every year or two. They know NOTHING about them. They often leave what they do get outside all year long in the rain and snow. And it always seems they get a yellow one.

Interesting. I sure as heck would say the one shown in the pictures is the A6. If they build most with the M7, I think GM's screwed up. If I were in the market for a high end specialized car as such, I for one would prefer an automatic.

2021 C6 of the Year Finalist - Modified
As I stated in another thread >

For any of you folks thinking about purchasing one of the 500 Special Premier Edition C7s, I remind you ....
For God's Sake ... don't loose the luggage that comes with this car ! ! !
Without that special luggage, your selling price for this car at a later date will be drastically reduced from what it would have been had you still included the special luggage with the car.
Immediately store that luggage in large vacuum sealed plastic bags and out of the sunlight!
A Premier Edition C7 without the luggage would be akin to buying a COPO 1969 ZL1 Camaro and finding out that it's aluminum 427 engine had been replaced at some time with a 350 (unthinkable).

Yup. The dealer in Sikeston, MO is a classic example. Not a small town either, 18K plus in pop. They are at the junction of I-55/I-57, both are major travel routes. They serve portions of MO, TN and, IL The owner simply has no desire to deal with Corvettes when he has St Louis to the north and Memphis to the south. He services the farming communities that surround him. Pick ups, SUV's, sedans and for the younger set, Camaros.

I agree. The "touring" crowd(60+ YO) prefers the auto on their 3500 mile trips as do the majority of all Corvette owners.
