Is everyone paying MSRP or more (or less) and from whom?

That's a great question that is next to impossible to answer. Certainly a lot are paying window, some probably over window and some are getting a discount already. It appears to me that cars are already becoming available which means discounts will get large sooner rather than later. Good luck but if you can wait until the winter I'd wait.

First you have to trust that people are telling the truth. Although no one would lie in the Forum..

Msrp with no fees from one of the bigger allocated dealers. One FL allocated dealer wanted MSRP with $660 in additional fees. Another non-allocated dealer wanted MSRP plus $1000. I told the latter two to stick it. I also relayed my frustration to the Chevrolet execs. at the 60th anniversary meet at the NCM. His reply to me was he was very frustrated to hear dealers trying to do this. Fortunately with the Internet and forums like this we can let those greedy dealers look at their inventory through several floor plan payments before they realize they are getting shot out of the saddle. With MSRP the dealers are making plenty so says the Chevy exec.

Most forum dealers are offering MSRP. Wes at Reliable Chev in Mo is offering MSRP - $1000 (he is out of coupe allocations but last update he had some verts available). Many local dealers will be asking MSRP+, some have committed to MSRP. Not many at below MSRP.

How long this pricing situation will hold is a WAG (Wild A-- Guess).

Many of us can tell you of Zo6s and zr1s going for 20K or more over sticker and getting it done. Now if you were a dealer and someone would pay 20K over or more would you say no don't do that???

We are all different, goals money and age. We all do our thing. I won't criticize or hate on anyone's decision.

I know people who pay to play that's their decision.

True story...... guy I know when the PT cruiser came out saw a transport dropping one off. Went in to the dealer and said I want to buy that car. Salesman said so do the 30 people on the list ahead of you. He left with that PT cruiser an hour later. Think he paid MSRP??? A freakin PT Cruiser!!!!!!

Default True prices

I went to 5 different dealers in NorCal. 1 came right out and told me probably MSRP + 8-10K. MSRP +5K from another. MSRP +4-5K. I really didn't bother to go any further with them! 2 told me they are going MSRP but had already filled allotment. Last one I went to told me straight MSRP. I said write it on a invoice guaranteed and I'd give him a 5000 dep right then. General sales mgr gave me the paper, I gave them the deposit and my order is sitting in Bowling Green with a 3300 code! I was the 1st of their orders

I ordered from a small dealer in No.Va. who has an allocation of 3. I'm #1. I originally agreed to $5K over MSRP, but he is backing off with internet statements by large dealers that they won't charge over MSRP.
I guess I'm at his mercy if I want one now. Any suggestions?

Assuming you live in Northern VA, you aren't too far away from Criswell or Kerbeck. Both selling at MSRP. Kerbeck has plenty available.

Tell him MSRP or no deal. The feeding frenzy will stop after the early adopters have their cars.

dealers with no allocations pull that crap just to get your order! if the order is in work bench without allocation it will sit at 1100 waiting for said dealer to receive allocation!! big dealers with plenty of allocation send orders with their allocations and only then and immediatly move thru the order code process...He will have his order and status code by the weekend as promised!

MSRP minus either the cost for covered transport or museum delivery. My order was picked up on this consensus.
