Default Rock protection and a good view of the taillight depth

A couple random pics.

The first shows the clear film that protects the car from rock chips.

The second shoes off the dimension of the taillight. In the center it is recessed a good bit, probably 3 inches or so..

Elegant - I did see that picture the other day but I thought seeing it on the car put it into perspective a little more. Thank you for the pic though!

So in your opinion will all of the tail lights effectively drain the water out easily after you wash it? Enquiring minds want to know.

I think that water will easily drain out of the recessed area on the taillight.

The issue that I have had with my C6 is that water would get behind the actual taillight housing and then drip after the car was washed. I did solve this with a gasket but it was annoying.

I do not think this will be an issue with the C7 design but I guess we will have to wait and see.

I just ordered today and my dealer didn't mention the clear film; is that an option that is currently available?

I wonder why they didn't take it all the way up to the seam, that way it'd be harder to see the edge of the vinyl.
