GM where is the Car Configurator?
Good News !!! Today, Team Corvette announced that the 900ish C7 approved dealers will have available this week, a 'Special Edition' large piece of collector quality paper, and a new box of Crayola Crayons in 'Official C7 Colors' with which you can configure your new Corvette preferences.
Due to the anticipated overwhelming demand for this unprecedented offering, customers are asked to return the C7 Crayola Crayons to the dealer to pass along to next interested customer.

It's possible to use the current configurator to "build" a C6 that's no longer available. The new one should be online.

Agreed that a online configurator should be available by now.
Cant be that hard to accomplish. I'd imagine a few web designers and $10k budget could have it available in a week or so.

When they do get it you can bet:
it won't be coded for Chrome;
it will be rife with errors and omissions;
it will not work most of the time;
there will be insufficient bandwidth and capacity for the great interest in a new model that should be anticipated;
and the same people must be designing the "build your own" who are responsible for the horrible-now-for-years vehicle locator.

It likely won't have too many bugs. They've had this thing built and ready for a long time. It's not like they're writing it now in a hurry. Their developers are either going to reuse the code from the old stuff with new values and pictures, or they'll have already started writing it sometime at the beginning of this year.
If GM hired me to make this thing for them, I would have had it done in a month. 2 at the most.

I could imagine a combination of this method and perhaps a check list. Aside from that, I still prefer GM's method.

If they can afford me by then. LOL
Not a fan. It's got some cool "wow" factor, but the problem is that everything is strewn out about the page. For someone who knows exactly what they want, that's nice. But for someone who would rather be guided and shown all the options without having to look for them, this isn't that great.

I agree, the Jag configurator is not that great. My point is they have one and Chevy feels its OK to ask customers to beg people here to photoshop their choices before they order a car.

So really, it would be nice to have a configurator, but we're not getting one for a while.
Honestly, it likely won't happen until they even get the specs of the C7 up in the front page. They still have blanks for power, torque and 0-60.
