yes and Edmunds also mentioned

With its middle finger raised to physics, the C7 also stopped from 60 mph in only 93 feet, which is the shortest stopping distance we've ever measured.

Thanks for posting. The C7 Z51 is impressive. I'm anxious to learn if a C7 ZR1 is planned.

Thanks for sharing. Finally some new information. It is pretty much what I was guessing it would be.

And I will be buying one. I think sales will be very high on this generation of Vette.

Of course it is. The C6 ZR1 was a big success, as was, obviously, the Z06.

"Rumors" (pretty much confirmed by local Vette techs) are saying that the Z06 will be 600+ HP and the ZR1 will be 700-725+ .

looks like an ad for michelin, 1.08g on the skidpad out of a utqg 300 tire

no one else in the world has a tire that can do that on a car this heavy and with zp capability

ring is a better gauge of car than 1/4 mile or 0-60 and people obsess over that

ring duplicates real street conditions since it's....basically a public highway you can drive crazy on

For the same reason people care about 0-60, quarter mile, 60-0, etc. It's an indication of the cars ability in a given role (track, drag racing, etc).

As an aside to Tobasco...another version is "I'd rather have a free bottle in front of me than a pre-frontal lobotomy."

LOL @ 3444 lbs... That's on par with the Viper...

So much for the Vette having the weight advantage.

You should drive one. It won't stop or turn close to the Vette but in a straighline, its damn near explosive. It almost feels like there's too much motor for the car. That ZF 8-speed helps a lot too as its basically just as quick as a DCT.

I think C/D tested it in their current issue and it was in the 3.7-3.8 range which after driving it feels about right.

Regardless, the C7 Z51 will embarrass it on any track. It feels top heavy and not too well sorted when you start leaning on it.

Don't know what you are LOL'ing about. This is the "base" Corvette which is half the price of the new Viper. Don't worry the Z06 version will be lighter.

I'm LOL'ing because 3444 lbs is ridiculous. And I could care less about price. When GM says it's directly targeting the 911, they can't come back and say "oh well it's half the price" after it falls short of the competition...
