Default I Have A Miracle Car!

After seeing Rick's TPW list I decided to ask my dealer again for my TPW. Last time he told me 7/7. Yes it was a miracle then too. Now even though I told him Ricks earliest date was 8/5, he is telling me 7/19. It's a MIRACLE I tell you. They are not even in production but my car was made last week. He must think I'm an idiot. Why is it so hard to get good information?

You guys, I am telling you, we are totally at the mercy of the production gods. Correct information will be really hard to find. The suspense will be killing all of us. We will all probably be pi**ed when some who ordered after us get their cars before us. Why? That will be the question.

WHY????

Try to relax and think about how great it will be. And remember- next year at this time we'll look back and laugh (that's if we have our cars by then)

Tell him you called the plant, and they said they are not producing car for sale yet! See what he says. Give him the number that was posted on another thread here.

Your car is built. Didn't you see it in the C&D video doing a burnout? They'll just reset the odo before shipping!

Default Gm

GM is talking and telling the truth. Every GM rep I have taked to since the first showing in January has said this summer. At Bloomington in June they said production would start in late July or early August. It sounds like it will start August 5th. I'm glad they are taking the time to make sure it is perfect!

You continue to be the voice of gloom and doom yet never offer any proof.

These are the only known facts.

In its January 13, 2013 Reveal Press Release, GM stated that "deliveries will start in the third quarter." We are in the fourth week of the third quarter. After tomorrow, there remain nine more full weeks this quarter. Not a single car is late per GM's written schedule.

Makes sense to me if history repeats itself. My '05 Coupe (#117X) had a TPW of 8/16 (2004). I had a little help from inside GM to get it delivered to me on 8/31/2004. But it is highly likely those C6s with lower PINs than mine were delivered even earlier in August. I seem to remember seeing production C6s with PINs around the 00700-00800's at Carlisle that year.

Different this time is how Bowling Green sequences the build of the "Premier Edition" LB C7's. Are they all being built first, or mixed in with sold units? That's a lot of luggage to be piled up around the plant.

Patience everyone, quality takes time. It is very close!

Once they get the line started it will not take long. I picked up my 2005 in December of 2004 and it was number 11,250 off of the line. From memory it was built on 12/14/2004, production on the C6 started in August so that means they made roughly 2800 per month back in 2004.

Got another text from my dealer when I questioned his date. He said I think he meant 8/19 meaning whoever he talked to about my TPW. Who knows, but that date does make sense.

The first TPW I got from chevy site was 7/8, I chatted yesterday and was told TPW is 8/19. Great news for me because my birthday is 8/20, so I figure thats a good omen that my C7 will be built on my B day.
