Anyone else coming over to a C7 directly from a C5?

Yes...Will be selling my 2004 C5 Z06 MY/MR that I've owned since new and still under GMPP to get in a C7! No regrets! I never considered a C6.

I wish I still had my c5 z06...it was such a great car...but back in august in 2007 my transmission driveshaft rear differential broke...and then after fixing that combination of headaches ....in nov of 2007 the engine took a dump...so rather than fix it...
I sold it as it was ...in three hours and called up Kerbeck and drove down with a check for a new 2008 LS3 C6 M6 Z51..
Never loved this car but its been flawless in reliability and fun to own...
Can't wait till I drop the coin for a new C7 though...
What a beauty! Best of luck to those who have a new c7 on order...
That's a passionate design driving purchase...

Maybe when I'm too old for my C5 I can find a used C7 auto before I move into a wheelchair. LOL.
Seriously, I thought I was interested in a C7, but not now that I built this C5 to far better performance numbers.
I know all the new C7 owners will have a blast in them.

I plan to replace my C5 with a C7 - but not this year. As in 1997, the demand for the first year is too high and makes dealing a bit challenging. It's actually feels a lot like 1997 all over again watching the posts about the C7 here: people looking for what dealer to use, people getting hosed by dealers, dealers asking crazy dollars over MSRP, etc.
I was as excited to see the C7 in person as I was to see the C5 for the first time. I love my C5, but there's no denying the C7 is a superior car.

I see myself going to a C6 Z or Zr1 before I go to C7. Of course that all depends on money that I make in the future. Would love to just by what ever but its not realistic for me. My 02 Z is really fun right now and so much cheaper.

I have a 2000 and 1971 Coupe. Won't depart with the C3, but will sell the C5 for the C7. When I watched the live C7 presentation back in January, it blew me away. Nothing wrong with a C6, but the C7 made a big impression on me, and I'm not getting any younger. I'm in the 2nd consensus, sitting at 3000 and taking delivery at the NCM. I'm excited as are many others!

there's a lot of like minded enthusiasts in this thread.
We had two C5's; sold my 2002 just before Christmas to make room for a C7.
But, the wife wants to keep her 2003 AE Vert.
I too didn't feel the [Chris Matthews] tingle up my leg [/Chris matthews] for the C6. The GS though went a long way - made me look at a new one. But the rumors of the pending C7 were already circulating by then and I decided to wait.
My income dictates a decent discount on a C7; which the GM Emploee discount would give; just not for the 2014 MY. So, it'll be a 2015 (and riding-in/driving the wifes 2003 AE vert during the wait).

My 04 is Mag Red. Wife thought the C6 looked too much like the C5, just had non flip up headlights. When she saw the C7 intro, she said "get that - in the Crystal Red." Two days later we were in the dealers office with our deposit. My order number is RDMBF1 for a CRM z51.

I have an 04 C5 'vert and am waiting to place my order for a C7 with Criswell. At the moment, planning on a 2 LT coupe, M7, CRT w/Kalahari. If I can manage, it would be great, in addition to the C 7, to keep the C5, a fine looker, but lacking the C7 bells & whistles.

Not to mention, I have collector car insurance on the C5...costs me all of $400 a year to hold on to her....may just keep her forever, even if stored above the C7.

You run Mickey thompson et drag radials or slicks.
I run Nitto 555rII's in Z06 sizes and run her through the mountains and do mexico highway runs. 0-60 has never crossed my mind, and there isn't a 1/4 mile track nearby...
And no, she is not for sell. Which is why I haven't ordered a C7 yet. I'm keeping the C5 and saving up to add a C7 to the stable.
