And no, she is not for sell. Which is why I haven't ordered a C7 yet. I'm keeping the C5 and saving up to add a C7 to the stable.

f**k me.

Yup. Currently have a C5. Was looking at maybe buying a C6 GS, but then the heavens opened up, beems of light trailing angels carrying pics of the C7 happened and thoughts of C6 no more. Thank you God.

JustinStrife...Awesome numbers! I'm still new to FI and currently running about 550 rwhp with about 8lbs of boost. After I build a forged bottom end and then raise the boost I can increase the rwhp to your #'s.

My C5 is too much fun to drive for me to move into a C7 yet.

Which is why I WON'T be getting rid of my C5. I love it too much to do so. I wouldn't even trade it for a ZR1.

But I will be adding a C7 to the stable as I love everything about it as well.

WOW my C5 was my first Vette........... customized it way too much. Figured I'd get a C7 becasue the C6 never did much for me.

Well big discounts on the 13 GS last fall.......... and I got one.

Told the dealer I'd be back in 2 years for a 15 C7.

Got a great deal offered to me......... fell into it..... a fair trade for the GS and a nice discount on the C7!!!

IF the stars align I will trade off my 11 month old NRB 13 GS in October for a a AW Z51 C7!!

Yup, without a doubt!

Like others here, I never considered the C6. Frankly, I thought it was more of an evolution and restyle than an upgrade and was not willing to take the cost hit for such minor improvements. Will likely buy a C7, but not until they offer a higher performance version, like the Z06. I love the power of my supercharged C5 and don't want to go backwards on the horsepower. The styling of the C7 doesn't wow me, but there is no question the car is a step up in almost every area.

I think you will see many C6 guys drooling for the C8 ( if there will even be a Vette then ).

The changes are just not enough from the C6 to the C7 unless you just love the rear to justify dropping new coin on it.

And for some of us, that is a bad thing. The rear end and tail lights were a weakness in my opinion with the c5 and c6. I know I am not alone there.

And were you REALLY that surprised at all the similar responses in the thread given how specific the thread title question was?

Wow! This guy Sam90lx has got to be kidding....people STILL mistake my 1998 for a C6. The only ones that tell me the "huge" difference between the cars are snobbish C6 owners. They sure do love to brag about how much better the C6 is compared to a lowly C5 coupe. And these people who claim so don't even have a Z car.

Glad there finally is an evolution in Corvette design with the C7. Finally something I can upgrade my C5 with.

and that's exactly why I haven't considered the C6, not much of a jump from the C5 at least not the Z's but even then with some mods you could have the same performance for less the cost of buying one.

...And it's not always about performance...some like a modern interior to cruise around in, or other improvements. Right out of the factory is powerful enough for most owners, imho.
