Anyone else coming over to a C7 directly from a C5?
....been around here since the beginning with my C5, never considered a C6, but now the C7 is different enough to warrant the step up. Just wondering if there are other C5 or C4 owners moving past C6 and getting into C7.

I plan to replace my C5 with a C7 - but not this year. As in 1997, the demand for the first year is too high and makes dealing a bit challenging. It's actually feels a lot like 1997 all over again watching the posts about the C7 here: people looking for what dealer to use, people getting hosed by dealers, dealers asking crazy dollars over MSRP, etc.
I was as excited to see the C7 in person as I was to see the C5 for the first time. I love my C5, but there's no denying the C7 is a superior car.

Yes I am planning on a C7. I had a 98, 2000, and then settled on the 02 C5z which I still have and will always keep. The C6 was not enough change other than the zr1 to make me want to change. I will be waiting for a performance version of the C7 though or at least until the hype dies down.

Yes, I have an '04 Z06 CE and just sold my '01 vert. I have the first C7 vert allocation with my dealer. We bought our '01 new and it was just time to replace it. Could have done it last year but decided to wait one more year for the C7, but I could have been very happy with the C6 GS vert if I had not seen the new C7 design. I try not to say that one is better than the other. There like kids, they are all different. If I want technology and comfort I'll drive the C7. If I want to do a track day, I will drive the Z06. If I am going to a show, I will drive my '69 vert. Love all my cars, but they are very different. And if you have never driven an early C3 and try to compare it to a C5 or later, I can tell you that the early C3s, in comparison, were pretty primitive.

Yep. Had a couple C5Zs. Sold the last one in preparation for the C7.
I didn't want a C6 because there wasn't enough incentive and change. The interior was marginally better and just about all the other technologies could be easily moved over to a C5. Also, the exterior on the C6 was kind of boring to me.
And I didn't like the round tail lights!

I have a 50th AE vert and have a deposit in with Criswell for a C7 Z51 vert. I'm #5 in line for one of the 49 verts in their first allocation. Can't wait!

Yes, I sold my 99 coupe a couple of months back after placing my order for a C7.
I had purchased the 99 about 6 years ago. Just didn't feel it with the C6 until the GS débuted, but then still not enough attraction to pull the trigger on an upgrade. Later decided to supplement my C5 with a 2010 Camaro, but once I saw the C7; I had to have one. I sold both the C5 and the Camaro to make it happen. Must say I have really disliked being without my Corvette for the summer.

I have an '03 'vert, I absolutely love this car, I've owned it for 6 years and I have no regrets except for the vinyl top. I like the C6 but never had the urge to get one, I love both C6 Z's and even though I can afford to get a Z06 I won't buy one, C7 all the way. I was either going to build the crap out of my LS1 or get the C7, the C7 won that battle.

Selling my beloved 2000 FRC with around 109,000 miles on it. In on the first consensus for the C7.
My car came with an introductory VHS tape for new owners. Now there's nowhere to play it.

On my 3rd C5. This one an 800hp FRC. Has been my dream car ever since I first laid eyes on it back in 2006. Not getting rid of it, ever.
The C6 didn't draw me in like the C5. Could have gone to a Z06 over the last several years, but even though it's really the only C6 I like, I still didn't care for the headlights, the rear end, or the interior layout. The C7 is getting to me like the C5 did. Once I hit my deposit value, I am getting a new one and doing the museum delivery.
My dad's only new car was a 1969 Corvette before he went into the Navy out of college. I'm a few years late to that record, but figured I'd still follow in his shoes.

I run Nitto 555rII's in Z06 sizes and run her through the mountains and do mexico highway runs. 0-60 has never crossed my mind, and there isn't a 1/4 mile track nearby...
And no, she is not for sell. Which is why I haven't ordered a C7 yet. I'm keeping the C5 and saving up to add a C7 to the stable.
