Retired 3+ years ago and bought a C6 for my retirement present. I wanted a Corvette since I was 5 years old (grew up in the Detroit area), but never could rationalize it since it wouldn't be a daily drive car.
My 2011 vehicle has around 11,500 miles on it, I only drive it when the weather is nice and I can take it on the freeway.
I have a deposit at 2 places for a C7 Z06...

My regular Saturday lunch buddies were 90, 92 and 93.
Unfortunately the 90-year old is now suffering from Alzheimer's, the 92-year old recently died from a stroke, but the 93-year old is sharper mentally and physically than I am, and I'm 20 years younger.

71 Fantastic Years Old. Have owned 2 Vettes, a C5 and now a C7. Both were phenomenal vehicles. Never had one major problem with the C5. It was the most maintenance free vehicle I have ever owned. Hopefully, the C7 will be the same. So far, so good.

I'm a tad over 10 in dog years (that would be 72+). In Canada it takes 65 years to save up for a corvette and 7 years to find a dealer who can get one.
