52 years on this earth. Outlived my father, and he was a car guy from way back. I remember his '49 Ford street rod. He tried to buy his first Corvette in "76. I remember it well...Orange coupe, fawn interior, luggage rack. We didn't even get into the driveway and my mother was on the front porch yelling "take it back, take it back." He did. He never bought another one, and passed away in 1983 at 46...but i sure did. Been very fortunate through the years and have now owned 14 different Vettes. Every time I bought one, I would think about what he would have thought. Now i'm in my '16 Stingray, and absolutely love this car. He would have too.
Anyway, sorry for rambling. I'm 52.

67. Joined a Corvette Club the other day and went to the first meeting. I was the only guy that didn't have a full head of white/silver hair!! We're all trying to relive our youth I think.

these polls are funny. 40 is half over the hill. Its not the new 20.
Most are going too die around 70, 80 for sure. Illnesses will
start in the 50 and 60's. Sure some will try and fool themselves
that at 60 still just as young feeling. Nah. Just talk. The muscles and
joints change, getting in and out of a Corvette will interesting to
watch at Corvette meets. So guys buy the vette now in the 30's
and tell the wife the stick it if tries and rebuff the idea. Retire and
get a vette, its still look at the old man in a vette. When I get
60, its a Escalade.

I would NEVER want to be in my twenties again. Life was insane.
BTW, people in their 20's and 30's get sick and die as well. More suicides too. No age is perfect and keep in mind. You will get where some of us are. Or maybe not...

68.
First Vette @ 22 ['67 vert 350HP],first new Vette @ 25. Everyone told me I wasn't old enough, couldn't get insurance etc.etc. Many great Vettes since, highlights: '67 big block coupe with original side exhaust,'72 LT-1 w/air, '78 L-82 Indy Pace Car, '82 L-82 Collector Edition, Ron Fellows special edition Z06.
Ordered DSOM A8 Z06 vert from longtime friend Rick Hendrick and took Museum delivery
last March. Drove home with a long time [40 years] Corvette Club buddy to NC and took the Tail of The Dragon route on a sunny late winter morning.Never felt more alive. The best sports car I have ever driven, including a Ferrari F430.
I have many memories of Corvette events, friends and business acquaintances from all over the country.
Owning a Corvette over the years will bring you many more rewards that you can probably imagine. Go for it!

When you are 60 you might need an Escalade. Others who maintain their activity level will be enjoying their lives well beyond 60's, enough to want something worthwhile to drive.
Here's a guy who is turning 85 this year who thinks 320 miles per hour on Sundays is a good thing:

I'm 70, but I'm still driving my Riverside Red 64 Convertible. It's still got the original 327/365 motor in it, the 4 speed close ratio transmission, and it still goes like hell for a car that's pushing 50. "The Redheaded Mistress" will be 50 on April 4th next year.
I figure after 50 years, I'd spring for a new one. Who knows, maybe in another 50 years, I'll spring for another new one.

79 here ... with a 2014 premier edition convertible ( LT3/Z51/fully optioned) ... we love it.. and yes I can get in and out without issues. I also cycle 6-7000 miles per year .. all year 'round here in new england. Just got back from a 50+ mile loop. (many more miles than I drive the Vette) :-)
