Protective decal kit LPO
Is this something you recommend getting? Visually is it pretty much impossible to tell that it's there?
Does anyone know the price of this LPO?

Grabbed this pic from another CF thread. Not definitive if this is standard on all C7s or part of LPO WA9 they are testing prior to availability. I did see this on a C7 at Carlisle and IMO it will be a must have for me or an equivalent aftermarket item. That area is definitely vulnerable to road rash. LPO price?
Edit: IMO it is noticeable but not offensively so. It would look better if it continued up the door rear edge to the horizontal seam just above.

Every CTF Stingray I've seen has it except pace car #500003. It begins below the middle of the door. Harlan's Laguna blue car #000008 had a shorter version that didn't go up as high. It will be interesting to see how much more coverage the dealer-installed LPO includes.

GM needs to revise this (and I agree it will be nice to have on the car), by enlarging it and taking it up vertically to the body seam, and forward to the door cut.
I don't understand why they didn't do that. It would have much better protective coverage, and it would have looked much better (would have been darned near imperceptible taken to the body seams and door cut).

so what you're saying is all Stingrays will have a protective decal kit, but if you select the LPO option the coverage will extend?

Anybody know what areas the optional LPO protection kit covers?

All 2014 Corvettes have the film applied to that vulnerable area at the rear of the rocker panel just like other cars do for obvious problem areas. I'd expect that the optional dealer installed kit focuses more on the front end of the car.
