Cost of ownership is a moot point. I dont keep any car longer than 2 years.
Exotic beater? Because it can go around the Nurburgring faster? Who cares, I (along with most other Corvette drivers) drive these things around the streets and freeways with the occasional WOT run. If I bought a $100K+ Corvette to beat other exotics at a race track that wouldnt be worth the price.
When you get past $100K+, performance shouldnt be the only reason to spend the much money. Exotics are priced that high because they are light years ahead of the pack in every which way, not just performance. For the $72K I am paying for my C7's, its a bargain. For a faster version of that car with a bigger spoiler/rims/vents at close to double the price after options, they can sell it to someone else. No thanks.

Not convinced. Other information has a higher performance model introduced in January of 2014. Some mild confirmation from the tire vendor IIRC.
They are saying January of 2015.

Don Sherman is full of crap. These mag guys always default to the Euro way of doing things. My money is on 7.0L LT7 or the LT4, though I think the latter would be a mistake in a track car. Plus, we have already been told the reveal is Jan 14, which makes it a '15 model in late '14 calendar.

Car and Driver was wrong before on the C7. I'm sure they are wrong now on the C7 hi-po model.
I would believe the Z07 name and thats about it. Expect this car to have the LT4 and pushing between 650-700hp. There will be no ZR1. There will only be the base car with the LT1 and the supercharged car with the LT4.

As to the C7 Z06 Forum...I made the pitch for it...now it's your turn to keep it going and make it happen.

I feel bad that people lost their jobs. I'd like to amend my comment to the fact that the CAD post was informative in that it showed what we did not otherwise know. Keeks was obviously not clarvoiant.

... And that's fine with me, to be honest. I think there was a little bit of redundancy between having the base + GS + Z06 + ZR1 last gen.
