That is the reason I would much prefer this be applied at the factory by someone who is doing it all day long and becomes good at it. Having the dealer do it is BS on a car like this. The first few cars are going to be high risk, even if the technician attends "stripe installation class for beginners'. Can you refuse delivery if the stripes are fecked up?

but I gotta tell you they are very easy to apply..soapy water on stripe and paint, move it around until it's right and squeegee out the bubbles...done...done tens of them....

of course you can...their CSI score is in jeopardy if you are not happy - but are we sure these are applied at factory?....otherwise you're at the mercy of "Corky" at the dealer, who is not a tech, and a bit hung over from last night...

THANK YOU for this post. Iam serious. I have on order a crystal red metallic with the black colored carbon fiber dual full length racing stripes. I was concerned about the vinal cracking and peeling. I think now I will be OK with them. They are well worth the $950 for those of us that like stripes. This is a great website for the C7 folks.

My wife's shop has done more than 10,000 vehicle graphic installs and is the installer for most local car dealers. The local dealers use other people for tint installation. Two different things.

Tint shops are not your best bet for applying auto vinyl. The dealer will subcontract to a local automotive vinyl shop, which is likely to be much more experienced than a tint shop. Tint is a different product altogether, much more forgiving and not at all a precision fit. But it is up to you.

Slightly pricier than I was hoping, but something I'm willing to pay. I think they look great and will really make my Vette look pretty unique.
... Guess there goes another grand for me.
I like outrageous, eye-catching color combos as much as the next guy... but I don't see that shade of orange working on much other than neutral colors, heh (black, white, grey, etc).

These have a similar paint and clear coat on them that is as durable as the paint that is on the Corvette. They have a depth and colorfastness that will long outlast conventional sign vinyl.

My last two Vettes were mag red/Monterrey red so I would have a hard time going for anything but crystal red next time...although the silver and Laguna blue look really good, too!

Go to forum vender "vettestripes.com". Top quality and total range of color selections. Easy to install in an afternoon. About $300. I used metallic copper in limerock green. Very close to kalahari top color.

I like the stinger stripe and ordered it with my arctic white vert.

c7 stinger or stipes in silver
I have looked around this forum and have seen shark grey with carbon flask stinger stripe. I still have not seen a Shark grey with a silver stinger or silver full stripes. I was thinking that the "sedate" shark grey color needed a little lighter colored silver stinger for contrast.

The stripes look great on the car, just not sure I would want to spend $950 for them.

Bigworm has done my last 3 cars. The cost is about 20% of what GM charges and the quality is great. The nice thing is you can just take it off if you want a different look.
