Did shipping really start?

I was at Spring Mountain in Pahrump a couple of hours ago, and they have a "bunch" of 2014s on the property. By the way, their new 2.1 mile track expension looks pretty good - brings them up to over 6 miles of track. The 2014s look good, but I think I'll hang onto my 2011 Z06/Z07 car for a while.

I still have to think that shipping will coincide with the start of Museum Delivery, Sept. 30 if I recall. Cars to arrive at dealers around that date.

Are we talking about shipping to dealerships, or are we talking about "shipping of any 2014s"? If it is the latter, I walked up and looked in the two 2014s sitting as "sentinals" at the entrance of a Spring Mountain office complex where there was a sign reading "Corvette Sales and School", or something like that. I then drove past a blue car (base car, I assume, because the rotors looked wimpy) and I noted a couple of 2014s by the fuel pits. Then, of course, there were the 2014s on the track in a slow moving daisy chain -- break in??? I guess I should have taken pictures, but I didn't realize that a shipping date was that big of a deal.

The sheer quantity of baseless speculation and utter BS on this forum is astounding. I, for one, do not believe anyone in a position of true knowledge and authority with GM would risk their job by revealing confidential info such as shipping/release dates or QA problems. In most instances that info could be easily traced back to them and the result likely wouldn't be pretty.

Ok lets look at the facts... the picture that Rick posted on his website was obviously NOT for Bondurant since there are pics of the cars they received posted days ago and all have black wheels... We have never seen this picture before it is NEW... my sources have told me shipping starts on the 12th and noon and ironically Conti posts a pic saying they ship... coincidence? probably not. We know that you do not take I-75 south to go to coloumbus so we know its not for his dealer or his car show this Saturday... Then we got word shipping doesn't start til the 18th... I believe if I had to bet money that those are infact customer ordered cars... What do you guys think and before you say anything look at the facts in this case...
Wish they were customer cars but I'm sure they are not.

There's no way those are customers cars. GM would have already announced it by now. Rick hasn't responded as to what those are for. He IS having a event this weekend where C7's will be present according to his post but they are probably on loan from GM.

I can't speak for him, but it may be understandable. My dealer showed me his computer screen showing 2 C7's in stock at his dealership when, in fact, they hadn't even been invoiced or built for sure a couple of weeks ago. He simply shrugged his shoulders and said "Go figure".

Just think about this- they have a bunch of cars in the lot, destined for locations all over the place. They have to make up a truck that has some geographic rhyme or reason as to where it' s going. That in itself is a whole 'nother thing.
Absolutely when they ship GM will announce it. They haven't missed yet on anything they have said for publication. We just wish they would be telling us more.

You have no one going to the session next week? (Which, BTW, is why all those cars are at Spring Mountain.). Ken Fichtner said he will be there Mon-Tue next week. And he states shipping should start Wed, Sep 18th.
