This is why GM does not give out order codes, and the tracking site gives general info only. If you want the down and dirty detail, be prepared for some disappointments along the way.

I agree, it is actually a good sign when your status goes from 3300 back to 3000. It means that you now have a real status. The same thing happened to me. Think of it as a trip to Las Vegas, where you will be up and sometimes you'll be down but at least in this case, you eventually end up a winner with your new Corvette!

Yup, CF roof here and back to 3000. I got a TPW of 10/14 on Friday but now probably that is no longer true. Very frustrating to see everyone else moving ahead when I had a deposit down back on 1/14 at a top 10 dealer and seem to be going backwards.

Agreed, I was second consensus in early July. Seems like that should have been enough lead time for a supplier to ramp up quantities by now unless there are some quality issues or something with the part. I would rather wait and make sure they get it right but the lack of communication has been a bit frustrating.

Mine went from 1100 to 3000 to 3100 to 3300 in the space of 3 days, then back to 3000 for a couple weeks, and then back up to 3300 for a couple more weeks. One week ago it went to 3400, so hopefully they'll build it pretty soon. I'm hoping for delivery in early October. FYI - I placed my order on 14 Jun 2013.
This code number jumping back and forth business seems to be normal and I'm told has something to do with getting the PBOM (Priced Bill of Materials) all put together, so they can start assembly of your car with all the parts ready. Kinda like a piece of IKEA furniture !!

Went through this with the last Corvette I ordered........ the constraints. Decided this time I would not order anything new or unusual. I was at 3000,3100,and now 3300 and still there, all this week. I got the clear roof and the plain dash.
I plan to order another in a few years so I don't need all the new stuff IF it means I get my car sooner. And sooner in Ohio say October vrs November or December means a lot.

For all we know, a month, ago Larry Ellison may have suddenly wanted two tons of a very high quality carbon fiber to build a new wing for Oracle... and it happened to be exactly the stuff Chevy's supplier needs for the CF roof. No question that Larry's need would have outbid Chevy's supplier's need... and a month later the trickle down hits Bowling Green... and a 135 code 3300's go back to 3000.
Obviously we have no idea what happened, but it is amazing to me that Chevy can compensate for glitches... and I hope we never get your tail in a sling for sharing detail.
