Unfortunately another C7 backed into.
I hate to even make this post as it is stomach turning. On Easter Sunday, while visiting family in Georgia, my mother-in-law backed into my C7 that was parked in the driveway. She and my wife were heading out to a sunrise service and were supposed to take our minivan which was parked beside the vette in the driveway. I'm not sure what changed, but they jumped into the Impala in the garage and proceeded to back up right into the C7 in the driveway. I awoke to the sound of my car alarm going off at 5am. It wasn't until a few hours later when the sun came up I was able to see in detail the damage that was done.
Fortunately the damage is only cosmetic. I popped the hood and checked the radiator and surrounding supports. I'm concerned however on getting it repaired as there aren't that many body shops that have touched a C7 or dealt with painting carbon fiber.
Once I unknot my stomach today I'll be driving back to North Carolina and will look for body shops in Charlotte, Greensboro, or Raleigh that are good candidates.
Hopefully once it is repaired I'll still have the same lust to drive and enjoy the car as I did before.
As much as you all want pictures I must warn you that what you see may be upsetting.

If my wife was part of that, I'd have new gun, supercharger, and anything else I could think of. You need to play it up and take advantage of the situation.
Carbon Fiber areo wood look good as well.

Looking at the photos, it looks like it got up into the drivers side fender as well. Did the drivers side headlight assy also get damage? Can't tell from the photo.

First, my condolences. I know this is very upsetting to you.
Second, my C6 got sideswiped literally one month before I was to take NCM delivery of my C7. 20-year old female in a 95 Buick. Very upsetting and not how I planned to spend my last month with that beloved car, but the good news is I took it to the best body shop I could find and it came back from there better than ever. I sold the car to a friend and he says he can't even tell it was damaged.
I think you will have the same experience--your car will look great after repair. Best of luck to you to soon be enjoying your C7 again.

Ouch, I feel your pain, however, it will be repaired and look like new again, and next Easter you and your family will be able to laugh about it.
Good luck on getting it repaired quickly.
