One rep in particular started chatting with me last time I was there; he owned a '59 and '65 and if I recall correctly, he has ordered a C7.
Did that used to be Malcolm Konner? If so I was there as a kid and thought it was pretty freaking sweet. They had an 86 Malcolm Konner special edition there (I think it was the Callaway TT one) as well as a 78 pace car on display. And the cars were lined up by color. This was back in late 90 early 91.

Well yeah, that too lol

But they were actually accommodating, I understand every Stingray on the street right now is a preorder - I respect that.

What I don't appreciate is the way folks are going about it...these guys actually spoke to me like another car guy and they actually knew wtf they were talking about. I was even able to actually TOUCH the damned car, Open the doors/trunk/hood and look inside.

They were even straight up with me - "Dude, if you place an order NOW - You're gonna wait at least 6 mos" But, all the other dealers were so eager to get me to place an order and said it'll be here in 2 weeks... "They were BSing you so they could get your money and that sale - All over the country there is a line for these things"

That's is the kinda folks I do business with, Straight shooters.

I feel your pain. Do yourself a big favor and check with CF sponsor dealers. I bought from Dave at Kerbeck last year, other CF dealers get good marks here too. Awesome price (thousands less than local), no BS, quick and easy transaction. All done over the phone and internet. His location didn't matter to me. I did an NCM delivery, but you could have it shipped to your home. With CF dealers all over the US, also consider picking it up at the dealer and plotting an enjoyable, scenic drive home. It's a great adventure in your new Corvette.

Cheers,
JB
