2014 Corvette Stingray Constraint Report

Production is rolling and on track.

Corvette Stingray dealers are now receiving allocations each week per the original forecast and as consensed every other week.

Shipping began on 9/18/13 but there is a huge backlog of Stingrays that need to be inspected and covered before they can be shipped.

What exactly does the 5 mean? 5 total Z51s built for your dealership? 5 nation wide, a percentage or what?

Don't worry too much about the 5. Z51 is constrained to 10% of orders this week. Each dealer will be assigned how many Z51's he can order this week out of his total.

This is expected to last less than 4 weeks.

Major bummer in my case as my order won't go in due to Z51 constraint.

I found out about the Z51 this morning as I was going to have to re order the C7 because of the carbon top issue and while we were doing that we were going to change the color to black from cyber gray......then it turns out Z51 is on constraint.

but as all this was happening it turns out the dealer made some calls as our order had been in since May and the dealer got their 2nd car in yesterday while the 1st one mine sits unbuilt because of the top.

well they got the carbon top pushed through on the original order. So now the car is being built today or tomorrow

Well I guess I will just have to wait it out. Besides, I'm grateful to even be able to order one of these beauties anyway.
