Guys,
I am waiting to take delivery (4B00) who knows how long it will stay bayed. What are the requirements to obtain this discount? I still have to buy a bunch of accessories and rather use those $1,000 towards them than more of my money
Thanks in advance for the help!

We are honoring the offer here at our dealership.
The only catch is that we have to be invoiced for Stingrays on or before 9/30/13.
No way to report a delivery on a car that isn't ours yet.

My dealer has the invoice and I have the voucher. But we don't have my car. It just went back into hold status again. Grrrr.
What would you do? Pay for a car you don't have in order to save the $1K, or wait until you have a physical car on premises in exchange for your cash?
A dilemma, to be sure.

Unless I had inside info on the end of Stingray production, I'd pay for it and save the grand.

I'm in the same boat ... Or in this case, the same truck (?)
VIN 1342
Built on 9/18
4200 on 9/25
Dealer still not invoiced
Car is AWOL
GM'er (in my view the most reliable source) guessed delivery yesterday or today (I wish!)
Kelly PMed me it went on a truck 9/25 to the dealer
CAC said as of yesterday still in BG waiting for a truck (I'm on Long Island, there's got to be more than 10 of these things built for customers in the metro NY area by now!)
Dealer says 4200 with Bowling Green showing as the destination
Chevy should step up and honor the $1000 Private Offer for a car that's been built since 9/18
OK, breathing deep now ... I will step venting ....

New GM vouchers should be available in October and onward. However, this quote from marketing VP John Fitzpatrick in the Corvette Blogger interview would indicate that the Stingray may be excluded in future offers.
CorvetteBlogger: There was a $1,000 private offer that expires on 9/30 and it looks like in the fine print it says that the car needs to be at the dealer by that day. Is there any information you can give on the details.
John Fitzpatrick: “That’s a great question. The only thing I can tell them is really to work with their dealer on it. The offer was designed to stimulate people who indicated they were in-market right at that moment and trying to get them even further in-market. The goal was not necessarily to be a mainstream program. And to be honest, if we had our druthers, we probably would have excluded the Stingray on there. I think the people that did the offer didn’t realize we were this close with the Stingray coming to market. We made the mistake and those people that got the offer that buys a car by 9/30, we’ll honor that offer, but the important thing is to work with the dealer on it.”

I would say that they would need to order that promotion to every single order made up to September 30th. If not, that would be somewhat false advertising; it doesn't make sense to me to go ahead and order a car thinking that you can use a specific offer and that you end up not being able to use it because the factory took longer to get the cars to the dealers.
Mine has been sitting at BG or Nashville for more than a week; dont really know which one. The fact is that under normal circumstances I would be driving the car today and would be able to use that promotion.

It's known in the business as a "paper delivery", doing the paperwork before you have the car. We do it all the time. However, unless the dealer has the invoice, there would be no point. The dealer doesn't own the car until he's invoiced for it. Can't report a car that you don't own. So the critical thing is if the invoice arrives by 9/30.

Randomly, a pop-up appeared for $1000 off a 2013 or 2014 delivered by 9/30. Only exclusions were Camaro ZL1, Cruze, Sonic, Spark and Volt.
They since realized they made a mistake by not excluding the 2014 Corvette, but will honor for those retailed by 9/30.
Bottom line, if you didn't get one already, don't expect to get one any time soon that will apply to the C7.
I just found out I'll be able to use mine, because my dealer just got invoiced. So even if car doesn't arrive by 9/30, they can still report it.

Is it fair? No, but marketing realized they made a big mistake and will be saved by the fact that so few cars will actually qualify by 9/30.

Does something need to be printed off for this to be honored or would it be in the dealer's computer/info? My dealer said he would honor it if I could print something off showing the $1,000 off.
