Looks like middle section of air dam is missing. Any reason?

Not very exciting to me.
Similar to Edmunds.
Track looked well prepped.

Saw they were running it with a full tank of gas. I agree with Finlee that the tracked looked well prepped, but overall I think it is a good baseline of what most would see under similar conditions.

Not bad really. The trans shifts are ok... a dct would work better for sure. With a manual and of course a shorter 60' time this car could very well hit a 11.99 stock on stock tires.

This one is also a 3lt car so think "heavy"

On the Z51 with the full back spoiler, the front air dam is two pieces and open in the middle. It's just the way they had to build it for aerodynamic reasons. With the full front spoiler there was too much down force in the front with the full spoiler in the rear. And it might have had something to do with the CAFE ratings.

I don't understand the Aero part, did not effect the C6's. I guess the car may fly at the track faster than without it...(think very small air wall.) Still looks incomplete and weird.

Why even have the corner pieces on?

This is why those of us labeled as "haters" were ragging on GM for making the car heavier. It nullifies the HP gains. If an LS3 C6 base vette is as fast as a C7 Z51 vette, GM missed the mark. Time will tell if these numbers are representative of the C7's performance.
