Default How Does A Dealer's Allocation Allotment Effect Speed Of Order To TPW?

Would someone on this forum please explain how a dealer's "allocation allotment" effects the" rapidity" at which an order placed at a dealership and accepted by GM results in a 2014 Corvette order going to TPW? Thanks.

I would contact one of the forum vendors, like Rick Conti or Dave at Kerbeck, or Mike and Criswell. This consensus is the first that will pull convertible allocations since August. The dealers with larger allocations maybe able to work with you on your vert order.

From the other threads post and edited:

Ok, here is your answer - When I placed my order for my C6 on November 26 2012 for a 2013 Vette in Los Angeles this is what happened.

Dealer took deposit on 11/26 but said he didn't have an allotment until December 20th week. My order stayed at code 1100 until his allotment came up - meaning - my car really wasn't ordered into the GM workbench system UNTIL December 20th. From that point on it took 8 weeks to get the car. That is why the dealer and there allotment is SO IMPORTANT to the time frame of when you will get your car, understand now?

The TPW will be given to you once the order is accepted into the GM workbench at which time you will be at code 3000. It will stay at 1100 like I said above, but once the allotment is given to you you will move up to code 3000. I think this is the best example I can give you....

My experience, once you have a 2000 code and no constraints on your order, it should be 4-5 weeks to the dealer, at the outside, 6 weeks...

I ordered mine at the time of the second consensus from the 2nd Largest Dealer. From time of order to the time of delivery, it took 11 weeks and 1 day with no problems or complaints.
