Not my cup of tea. It will be interesting to see how many people purchase it.

When I first saw the C7, I was not very impressed with the rear lights. Now, having seen the lights and the lines of the C7, I believe that round lights will look completely out of place on the C7.
I think that adding the round lights will somehow ghetto the C7.

I'm sure you will sell some of these to the "die-hard, don't change the corvette style" crowd, but as with the c6 headlights, the corvette die hard fans finally accepted them.
I doubt you could get any of them to convert the C6 to hidden headlights, and I think the same will hold true with the C7 rear lights.

Good Luck with the project

You need to incorporate the vents somehow.
I like the functionality of the vents, just not how they were incorporated with the current C7 taillights.

My wife and I saw a C7 in person for the first time at VIR saturday.
Our only hesitation is the rear end styling.
Well, my only hesitation. My wife still prefers the look of my Grand Sport.

Don't give up on this effort.

For those that want that old look......you need to address the venting......

Personally I think you would sell more of a C6 to C7 conversion kit ........that's where the money is going to be IMO

Give it a rest. Time moves on. Round tail lights have gone the way of pop-up headlights.

I think it looks good.
Wouldn't be my cup tof tea, but I could see people buying it.
Now that the side view looks like a GTR and you guys make a GTR rear bumper, we need a GTR front bumper conversion for the C7 also!

haha

I think it's going to look totally out of place on the C7.
The round lights do not flow with the design of the car.

Want round lights? Buy a C6... but to each their own.

That would be my main question also. I happen to like the new taillights and going back to a C6 look is not something that will flow with the rest of the C7 design IMO. But if someone wants to changes their car around like that, it's their money.
There have been several photos posted of the C7 without the rear fenders installed and you can see that the scoops on top of the rear fenders feed directly into ducts that go to the bottom of the car at the rear where they feed air to the rear mounted heat exchangers for the transmission and differential. That air is then passed through the two vertical vents on each side of the diffuser. I don't see where the air is ducted to the vents mounted adjacent to the taillights.

Not sure, but it appears the taillight vents are more cosmetic than functional.

I read that as...

Your wife prefers you KEEP your Grand Sport and not get the C7

In 6 months when you see them all over the road you will get over it and think it looks fine. Plus how often are you look at the tail lights of your car when you're in the drivers seat driving?

Maybe some of them may now decide to buy a C7 as they will have an option to get rid of the "Camaro" tail lights.

I don't think you're on the right track, because the tail lights are just fine on the Stingray.

IMO......Spend the time on wide body conversion. Just my 2 cents.

If you don't like the round taillight look, I understand, but this is for feedback from owners looking to change to the round lights, to see if you like what we are doing and what changes might need to be made?

Thanks you!

Where are the backup lights?

I'd think if the vents are necessary you could incorporate them into the recess part of where the tail light mounts. Basically they would vent out around the tail light then. Would be nice too so the dirt wouldn't accumulate in that recess area like it does on C4's, C5's, and C6's.

I couldn't agree more. Like dealing with perpetual third graders. They bit--, moan & whine about wanting a new generation vette that's different. GM does a masterful job with the C7 & the first thing the peanut gallery does is bit--, moan, & whine that they want the old 4 round tail lites. So RPI makes a version of round tail lites & now since they've gotten used to the new design & it's the latest " in" thing ( like black wheels), they now don't want the round tail lites ( cause they are " out"). Totally predictable. Deja Vu all over again like the C5/C6 transition.

How can I put this? I am older so maybe I could use a face lift. I could do that but I am afraid my new face would not match the rest of my body. Enough said.

Nailed it... forum was full of pissing and moaning about the tail lights. Now RPI goes out and does something innovative and everyone's opinion, as they say in politics, has "evolved" on the issue

Hmm... thanks for checking for our feedback and I'm open to seeing how it all turns out... though like many have said venting would have to be addressed too. I'm really not crazy about the C7 lights (they look like evil eyes from a monster from some cheesy 1980's flick), but I can't say I'm sure what to think about this throwback design, either.

For those two people who haven't seen this in a rough concept from another ad...
