Default A-pillar body color?

I dunno - everytime i look at C7 pics (which is a lot lately ) i feel like the outside of the A-Pillar should be body color vs. black - Anyone else ?

That's why I prefer darker colors - it's not as noticeable.

Bingo ..the dark colors, like my night race blue, make all the pillars and vents seamless.

Default A-pillar

Not just the A-pillars
all the not body colored dark shaded parts on the frontend , sides, and rearend, vents, scoops, spoilers, roof and hood are a little too busy for my tastes. but blend in nicely with the black and cyber grey cars.

Really noticeable on some of the other colors

Bet a lot of those parts will be available aftermarket soon in body color just for that reason.

My neice upon seeing my black C7 for the first time said Holy cow bat man is that the bat mobile.

With the CF roof I agree (and, the top of the B-pillar should be black). Similarly with the Lexan roof (edges should also be body color). Here's a lousy mockup to give you an idea of how this would look:

With the painted roof I like it the way it is...

What's funny about this question is that the C6 A-pillar was black/plastic for nine model years. Now it's all of the sudden an issue because the A-pillar is gloss black.

The A pillar looks better black.... Especially with the top removed.

I've had 2 C4s, 2 C5s, and 2 C6s, and have always wanted body colored A-pillars - it's not all of a sudden.

I agree, don't like the photoshop at all. The C7 A-pillar looks fine to me, didn't care for the rubbery one on the C6.

The issue is that with a TARGA hoop the black A-pillar is the much better look. That's why nobody would complain about the C4-5-6 having black A-pillars. However, the C7, with arched C-pillars, looks very disjointed/incomplete (think "bridge to nowhere") if it has a blacked-out roof and black A-pillars.

Some may not like my terrible "photoshop" (calling for an artist to do this properly) but having arched C-pillars end at the B-pillar is as dopey as those old half-vinyl roofs that were all that in the 70's and 80's.

Again, with the SOLID roof the black A-pillars on the C7 look great, if not even better than body-colored ones would look!

If you paint the A pillars the same color as the car when you take the removable roof section out your car will look just like a Miata. Is that what you want? Black A pillars work with the roof off. You can not have it both ways.

I agree with this completely. I don't like the look with the transparent top. I do, however, like the look with the standard painted top which is why that's what I have. My second choice is obviously the exposed CF top, which IMO looks better with the black A-pillars than if they were body-colored.
My car was tinted today and finished too late for pics. IMO, the black A-pillar looks even better when the windows are tinted.
