Two days after picking up my C7
Picked up my Stingray two days ago from Jim Ellis in Atlanta. I have to say that the whole process of getting this car was great. I got in touch with Reggie Stagmaier in March of this year and started the process of putting down a deposit and finally got it delivered on the 8th. Cannot say enough nice things about the man! A big shoutout to Reggie and Jim Ellis Chevy in Atlanta. He is the man to see if you need one. The whole operation was great.
This is my first Corvette and prior to seeing the car at the January reveal, I had had no intentions of getting a Corvette. I had driven a 2012 GS once and while it was fine, there was really nothing to grab me. The first time I saw this car, THAT WAS IT!!! I had to get it! Since June I do not think that I have gone more than a few hours without going through a couple of the forums and reading just about everything that I could find out about this car. And, what a car it is! The last two days have been a blast. I have been blessed so far in getting a car without any issues at this time. I got a non Z51 in Night Race Blue with a 2LT Kalahari interior, navigation and the dual mode exhaust. I hope to enjoy this car for a good long time.
I wanted to say a big thanks to the members on this forum, especially Talon and Glen e. I learnt a lot from their expertise. To Drake, following your saga made for interesting reading.
Hope everyone enjoys their car as much as I am.

I'd *really* like to see some photos of your car, especially ones that show both the interior and exterior in the same shot. I'm still picking through options that I'd like to get, but I'm pretty well sold on the Night Race Blue with a 2LT Kalahari interior. I'd like to see if the two go together as well in reality as they do in my mind.

Looking forward to seeing the photos!
And welcome to the awesomeness that is 'vette ownership, Sekhar!

That pic by Bill also looks great! NRB on Kalahari is classy... if it was my order, I'd add yellow calipers to throw in some jazz.

Little hard to tell on my screen, are those the silver-painted or the chrome finish Z51 wheels? Either way, I was considering the black wheels, but that finish actually looks quite nice with the blue, gives it a bit of 'pop'.

Well, another thing I'm considering besides the factory black wheels was to get the 'base' z51 wheels and take them over to a local powdercoating company. Get a color besides the "factory options" that would work well with NRB, maybe a gunmetal finish or something like that. My father had his factory wheels on his black XLR done in a gunmetal finish and it looks damn good!
