VIN 1342
Dealer called saying I'm in the VIN range where they need to check fluid in electronic limited slip differential. Not experiencing any noise, but better safe than sorry. Going in Thursday.
VIN1363
I had my first oil change last week at 700 miles, ask the dealer if they knew of the possibility of low fluid in diff, they did not. They said they would check it during the oil change, diff oil level was fine.
I consider the Corvette an American icon. It's an embarrassment that GM can't do better than this. Regardless of the icon status of the car, they owe all their customers better. I can't help but wonder that maybe if "the Government" had not interfered, and GM had to clean house after filing for bankruptcy, then we might have seen badly needed improvements. Guys, I hope they can straighten this mess out for you.
Infotainment (god I hate that word) started acting up last night. Basically it looks like the little status bar that pops up at the bottom of the screen when you change the volume, or the temp, or have an alert keeps flashing on and off really fast, superimposed on top of whatever is on the screen (like the regular radio screen).
Also of note, selecting the HD switching setting to turn off HD switching doesn't "stick", meaning as soon as you exit the menu the radio goes right back to trying to do the HD switching thing and when you go back into the menu it seems to have forgotten that you changed the setting a few minutes ago.
Memory recall on the seats also stopped working and now I have to press the button to get things to move - I had it set to "on ignition" and it had been working well until a few days ago. Exit settings still work automatically though.
Also, tire temp always shows as warm even though I have my doubts about whether they're really warm or not (no way to check this though, it may actually be correct - but considering the outside temps I doubt it).
Seems pretty clear we've got some software bugs to resolve. Anyone know if a simple "hard restart" would work and how to do it? I mean this thing is a computer and sometimes I've been able to get a PC to behave again by doing that when all else failed (pull cord, wait a bit, plug back in, turn on).
P.S. - Battery voltage shows as 13 in case that makes a difference.

Reason: added detail.
My infotainment screen started flickering and bouncing up and down on the way to work today. At first, XM radio went out, then screen started bouncing up and down. Did the same thing in reverse with the camera and on all screens.
Shut it off and on several times during the day and still the same
Dealer said to bring it and it was still doing so when I got and they documented with a video.
They gave me a nice Impala to drive with 2800 miles on it with full leather and XM radio.
They also said they had a bulletin on it saying it would be fixed in Feb.
VIN 1238 with 1700 miles and no other problems.
I told them I didn't want to see it in the shop for ten days while they waited for parts.
They seem like they understood. We will see in the next couple of days. Sure don't want to wait to Feb to get it fixed.
See my story in earlier posts. They fixed mine by shimming the bezel around the information system. The bezel was causing the screen to be touched when the car vibrated. This has fixed the issue with my screen. Have them take it apart and see if it stops acting up when the bezel is removed. If it does then it's the same issue that I had.
Hope this helps.
On my new Z-51, when I turn into a parking space, the rear wheels jump or hop to the side as if the differential is locked up. Dealer says this is normal but I have never experienced it with any other car, nor have I ever heard of it from anyone else.
Do others have similar experiences?
Car is 3 weeks old and I am concerned about damaging it.

Update on Post 394. Still no seat parts and no communication of ETA. Now I am getting agitated. Weather is turning real cold here in NY and it looks like my last week of fun was lost to poor quality and poor parts availability. I PMed Chevy Cust Serv..I'll see what they have to say.
At 210 miles the rr tire picked up a 2.5" long wheel balancing weight off the road at about 30 mph. When the weight rotated into the wheel well the weight was forced into the tire tread causing a large puncture. Wheel well was also damaged with two holes completely through.
Clearance between tire and wheel well is very small and I am concerned that those that are lowering their cars may actually be increasing the potential for this type of tire damage. Obviously I was unlucky to the tune of $425 for a new tire. Interested in hearing from others regarding this failure.
This is hardly a Corvette specific problem. It could and does happen to any vehicle. The wheel weight got jammed through your tire when it rotated back to the ground, not pushed through by the wheel well liner.

USB Media Problem
For some reason, after indexing, all my songs are displayed in duplicate. And they play that way even though there is only on mp3 file on the USB chip for each song. Each song plays twice. Did a fresh format and copied mp3's again ... same story. Anyone else?
Similar issue here!
Mirrors worked OK until I programed "on" the reverse mirror down function.
Now after I go in reverse, the mirrors go back to a neutral position - I then have to press the memory button again to move them into the position I have programed for driving.
Not a big issue, most likely a software fix?
I had this problem too. See page 5-44 of owners manual. Turn
"Auto Memory Recall" to OFF, this fixed my problem.
Vin #069 same problem with mirrors and all memory settings. I program the car and it does what ever including mirrors stay down after reverse and seat and steering wheel stay in the exit position etc...
I had an issue getting mine to stay programmed then switched remotes, programmed everything again, as Driver 1 and now it all works fine. I couldn't find any designation on the key fobs for Driver 1 or 2, but switching the fobs worked for me.

The dealer tore apart the dash today to get numbers off the unit to give to GM. New parts are being shipped to arrive on Thursday to be installed and was told I will get the car back on Friday. Hope all goes well. Will give an update Friday.
C7 Z51 VIN #1138 @ 1400 miles encountered a rattle under the car. After dealer evaluation and call to GM Tech Service, GM sends an entire new torque tube/driveshaft assembly and indicating that there had been other reports of this issue. Car is still at dealer in the process of being reassembled. Is this issue prevalent amongst other C7s?
I am VIN #1139 (one car behind you) but only at 600 miles. Also Z51. No problems yet except for squeaky brakes. Thanks for the heads up. Hope it will not be a problem for me. Hope you get your C7 back real soon.

I was told by my dealer this week if I get one installed now, I will also have to get the upgraded model installed again in February.
Curious to see if you get the similar information.
1190 miles and heard my first Squeak today. Coming from the right rear. Sounds like a mouse. I figure it's a shock or suspension part. Only does it on streets with undulation. Don't hear it on rough patches, bumps, or seams. I'm not worried about it at this point unless it gets louder.
I think much of it was operational error induced by myself. I haven't had a seat or mirror issue since I reprogrammed everything with the other key fob. Go figure. Enjoy your new C7!
