The outside of my car rattles on the passenger and driver side door really bad when I have my speak up half way. Is this normal? Bass isn't even up all the way; however, it sounds like i'm driving a 1999 Honda civic with 18" subs in the truck. Really sounds cheap.... This normal?

Not normal. The stereo sounds great with some adjusting. Adjust the Bass, Mid and Treble. You also may want to move the speakers selection dial a little forward to favor the front end of the car (and less subwoofer). Also play with the modes. My favorite was the one all the way to the right (I forget what its called without having it in front of me). If yours is on "driver" its gong to default with more low end rumble for some reason. Hope this helps.

You might try categorizing the songs into folders with <20 songs each. I had the same problem with my Garmin Zumo GPS MP3 player and the folder trick cut the loading time from minutes to maybe 10 sec. I used folder names like Ab-Bz, Ca-Eb, etc. throughout the alphabet corresponding to the song title, again keeping the songs to around 20 per folder.

Default memory recall

Took delivery of vin# 5507 NRB, Z51, 7speed and started playing with the settings today. Looks like some others have complained about the “memory recall/exit” on the driver’s seat. My question is, why should you have to hold the button in with to motor off and you only have to touch the button with the motor running? Do I have something set wrong?

Go into your setting menu and you can set it up automatically. Works great, nice feature

No, you don't have something set wrong. That's how it works (at least with an M7). Doesn't make much sense, does it.

I wonder if the rattle in the right front of the hatch could be the strut bar that supports it when open. There is some play in it when the hatch is open so I am assuming there will be play when it's closed.

I sincerely hope they have an update coming for this. It's REALLY annoying.

Sounds like the behavior of a backlit LED switch I had in my GTO. Some days it would work while others it wouldn't. Over time, the soldered connection corroded some I guess and became week. In your case I am willing to bet the soldered connection isn't great. It happens and should be an easy fix.

Dealer said to bring it and it was still doing so when I got and they documented with a video.
They gave me a nice Impala to drive with 2800 miles on it with full leather and XM radio.
They also said they had a bulletin on it saying it would be fixed in Feb.
VIN 1238 with 1700 miles and no other problems.
I told them I didn't want to see it in the shop for ten days while they waited for parts.
They seem like they understood. We will see in the next couple of days. Sure don't want to wait to Feb to get it fixed.
Well, Thursday and Friday came and gone and no parts. Evidently they are in short supply and was told they will be in the middle of next week.
They put the all parts back in and put the dash together and returned my car today until the new parts come in.
Surprise, surprise, surprise! It works perfectly now. Go figure.
Do I have the new parts installed when they come or drive it until it malfunctions again?

Have the new parts installed for sure. Why take the chance. These parts are in short supply, take them before somebody else does. Trust me. I've had the same issues. I got a new screen and all has been ok. Still have rattles tho

Hatch closing issue. The hatch won't snug down without a firm push with the flat of my hand. I'll have it looked at by my dealer whenever I go back his way. I won't make a special trip for this.

If you close hatch properly, it's not a problem. Be firm. There's a YouTube video on it..

Vetehead,
There is no problem with your seat setting. Even though they are not marked, the key fobs are assigned to setting 1 and 2. Try the other fob...you will be fixed. I just went thru this yesterday. Even the dealer didn't know this. This is same as C6's. let me know if it works for you.

If you remove the key from the FOB, you can just see the 1 or 2 in one of the indentions of the key base.

Can you post a picture of this? I've heard it said before but have looked there on both keys and can't find it. I even mentioned it to my dealer (Kerbeck) on delivery and was told that that's the first they've heard of that. We looked with the dealer and couldn't find it then either.
