Did you get a resolution here? I have the same thing and it's driving me nuts.

M7
- #1 seat position and exit are set
- Easy Exit is on
So it used to work thus:
- Sit in seat (seat is all the way back in easy exit position)
- Press clutch in
- Start car
- Press and hold #1 memory seat button
- Seat returns to memory seat setting #1
At about 500 miles this is what happens
(Same steps as above)
- Press and hold #1
- Steering wheel moves 1/2 an inch then stops
- Press and hold #1
- Steering wheel moves another half an inch then stops
- Press and hold #1
- Steering wheel moves another half an inch then stops
- etc
If I reach down and move the seat forward just a little and then press and hold #1, viola it works! If I don't do that, it just seems to start to work and then stops in little jerky steps.
Nothing, except moving the seat a little seems to fix the problem. Waiting, same problem.
I guess I'll have to take it in but I haven't heard of this one before. Again it was working as expected for an M7 for the first 500 miles.
Mine is going in next week but wanted to check back in.
I engage competitive mode
It shows up on DIC as it is supposed to but car doesn't act like mode is working. Car has no active handling what so ever.
Again in track mode double click and competitive driving mode comes up. It doesn't chime tho. The owners manual says its supposed to chime as well.
This is my 4th new vette and i know it isnt working.
Anyone else experience this?
Any info would be great.
Thanks guys
Like many others, I also had seemingly unresolvable issues getting my Homelink control programmed until a very friendly lady with Genie helped me solve the problem.
Equipment involved:
*2014 Z51 Stingray with Homelink on sun visor
*Genie PowerMax 1200 garage door opener with Homelink support
I followed the instructions provided on the Homelink website with no success because the sun visor button would never flash rapidly. I also called their support number but could not actually speak to anyone because the only support available for vehicles built after 2003 is a computerized step-by-step walk through which has no way to actually solve a programming problem. I thought this was extremely poor on their part. I attempted programming with & without putting the remote into Intellicode 1 mode with no success either way.
After a few days of frustration I decided to give Genie a call with little hope of success because Homelink is not actually a Genie service. I was able to speak to an actual person , a very friendly and helpful young lady who said she would help me even though Homelink is not actually their service or product. After going through the same steps I did for the previous days without any success again; she asked me to pull the clip off the back of the Genie remote I was using in an attempt to program the sun visor button with and give her the numbers stamped onto it under the spot where the clip goes. After giving these to her she said; "Aw, there's the problem". The last numbers on my Genie are "2.0.3". She then told me she was going to send me a different remote to use in programming the Homelink in my C7 because the original Genie remote roles the Intellicode codes so fast that the sun visor button could not catch it.
So after a few days I got the promised remote (At no charge) and was able to program the sun visor Homelink on the first attempt!
The model number of the remote she sent me is "GITR-3".
You might get a kick out this : My garage door opener is another manufactor but I could get the 1st door to open but not the second until about the 3rd time I got the 2nd visor button to open both doors at once up and down !!! Yikes !!! And I just left it that way !!! Wayne
The inner liners on both front fenders don't go all the way to the edge. The gaps will allow water and dirt to get in behind the fenders. Not a big problem but I wish there was a fix like similar material for a patch.

I was leaving and noticed my door was not all the way shut. So I pushed the button and the door did not open. I shut the car off and pushed the unlock and pushed the button and nothing happened. The only way out was with the emergency exit at the bottom of the door.
I got home and unhooked the battery for a while and hooked it back up and I still could not open it without the emergency exit. I have to guess that the switch has gone out.
Anyone else have this problem? I tried to do a search and there maybe be someone who has had this problem posted on this thread but I don't want to spend 3 hours to go through it.
Joe
Hi Joe,
If you haven't already, please shoot us a PM with your dealer. We'd be glad to look into it for you!
Well, folks, after taking my C7 to Lambs Chev, in Prescott,Az, for problems of the drivers seat moving forward on entry and unable to set driver's mode when closing the driver's door. Plus the media when pushing the off button the songs still is playing without sound. Both problems could not be done by the dealer. They did not even call GM for solutions. This dealer did not have much allocations on C7 and are not knowledgable about the C7. You would think they would call them for solutions. So nothing to be done until a flash for the computer to correct the problem.

I notice that whenever you would like to charge the battery while storing, the manual tells you about using a charging cable plugging it in the socket in the truck area but no charging cable. Is anyone missing this cable? Must be an option.
Plus does anyone know how to install the shade for the back window? I received two small black nylon item but it is too small to cover the back window like my C6. Anyone know how it hooks up?

The seat issue is easily corrected. Set Auto Recall to OFF and Easy EXIT to ON! Be sure not to have the seat 100% back on Easy Exit, a 1/4 inch forward will prevent it from hitting a stop switch. You'll have to hold the memory recall button in to get to the saved seat postions. Won't find in the manual!

here is the resolution for my vette losing an engine with 800 miles on it. Engine replaced..
OK, finally!!!! Sorry it took so long to give you an update. I truly wanted to give GM time to make things right, and today they did!! While the situation was very frustrating and I hope to never have to go through something like this again, GM did everything in their power to make it as easy and painless as possible. They have addressed my fear that the car was devalued significantly because of the repair by providing me with a 84 month/75,000 mile transferable Platinum Plan for the vette. When and if I sell the car the new owner can rest assured that the car is 100% and if they (or I) ever have problems, they/I will be covered and have no out of pocket expenses. They were also very generous in that I will be able to buy a few nice vette accessories on their dime.
I will probably never know what caused the engine failure with certainty, but the fact that a lot of attention was given to the torque tube leads be to believe that it failed because of the same torque tube problem others have had.
Every company will have its problems and mistakes, what sets them apart is how it handles those problems/mistakes. That said based on this experience I would have no problem buying another GM car, and hope to add another vette to the garage in the future.
It's not every day that someone with issues such as yours even after restitution writes a testament such as yours. Very well done, I applaud you . My guess is that goes back to the way you were raised. Kudo's to your parents as well.

I had the same problem. Wish the liner fit better. Bummer that it didn't! I replaced the splash guards with wider ones ...(don't know why the wider ones were not installed in the first place ... except it is a way to sell something else. Anyway, I placed a piece of soft Velcro over the gap to close the hole. Velcro looks almost exactly like the material that is behind the wheels .. and then I installed the wider splash guards.

It is indeed an option. It's the battery protection package ($100).
I got it, but I didn't realize what it was. Since it was just a $100 option, I figured what the hell... I'll probably never use it though.

You can add it to the options when you order the car. It is a custom CTek 3300 Charger with a Corvette logo, cigar lighter terminal only, and a storage bag with a Corvette logo printed on it. Nice option if you are into that kind of stuff. Here is a photo pulled from the internet.
I ordered the standard CTek 3300 through Amazon which comes with plug in connector so you can use alligator clips directly to any battery terminal. As an extra cost option, you can get the cigar lighter plug in terminal.
Here is a photo of the standard CTEK 3300.
Here is a photo of the cigar lighter adapter.
I plug it into the cigar lighter in the rear hatch, as the owner's manual says, then close the hatch. The is sufficient space to run the cable over the rubber weather stripping and space between the hatch and rear fender.

Thanks but I got that. It's the entry settings that no one can set. I hear GM does not want to talk about that issue.
When I press my remote and open the door the driver's seat moves forward to my driving settings. A pain to press the button to move it back and then I have to press the 1 again to move the seat forward.

For what I and others found what you're describing only happends to us when you set Auto Recall to ON. If you have set it to OFF and Exit to ON than that is what I have done and the only issue, if you can't fully press the clutch to start the car from that position, you just have to keep the recall number buttom pressed to have it return. What GM does not want to admit is the issue with holding in the button to get the recall to work. It wasn't that way in the C6.
If your car seat is moving to the set position when you open the door and you have Auto Recall OFF you do have another issue. I've been at this since October and have seen many Forum posts on the subject. The issue you describe has been solved, as I mentioned, in all other reported cases.
I only had my c7 for one full day and the windshield is cracked, dealer Len Stoler Chevrolet in Westminster Maryland is trying desperately to get one from Chevy with no success, I have been told to pick up the car and drive it with a cracked windshield as there is no ETA of a new windshield

Just posted a new thread about a crack in my windshield which mysteriously appeared after clamping the top back on my coupe. Was your windshield eventually replaced? What caused the crack? If replaced, was everything as good as new after? Thanks!

You should not be holding the #1 button to get your driving settings. It should move forward automatically when the door is shut. The same way my C6 did. So we have to wait for GM to correct this with a flash.
Regarding windshield replacement, I just got the bad word today that the scratches in my windshield would not polish out. The scratches occurred by someone turning on the wipers with sharp sand under the wipers upon initial delivery. Must have been some diamond grade sand, or the windshields are now made out of plastic.
Dealer said he would order glass, but we will see if it is available yet. I don't want to be the test case for installation, so maybe I can drive it some while the glass installers gain some experience.
