Default Anyone wrap their glass top?

I have 2 glass tops. I have thought about putting a wrap on one of them just to have something different and to hide from the Florida sun during the summer. I figure that I could install one of those suction cup headliners on the inside if the inside of the wrap is unsightly. I'd like to see someone else's results if it has been done.

No point in having two clear tops. Id wrap one. You can always remove it if you sell.

No info on wrapping the top, but on the shade, I tried the black suction cup version and found it to be a PITA. The suction cups held onto the top like a horny octopus and the shade itself is a plank that's difficult to remove and maneuver inside the passenger compartment, then it needs to be stored somewhere.
To reduce the solar radiation thru the top heating the interior, I found a silver self adhesive dot matrix vinyl shade that removes most of the sunlight, is easy to install/remove/store, and reduces the heat absorbed thru the top.
If you cannot find one online, it's a simple DIY to make a paper pattern and get some vinyl film to make your own.

Talked to a wrap guy today. Inside of the wrap is a gray color, and it should look pretty uniform from inside looking out according to him. Total cost $200 to wrap, so I'm dropping the top off this week or after the holiday weekend if I get busy.

Since you have two anyway, wrap one and see what you think. You can always remove it and try something else. All the best.

I did the suction cup one 5-6 years ago. I’m happy as the S Florida sun isn’t baking me to death. Every month or so I just push up on the liner making sure the suction cups are doing the job.

Does your wrap guy do tint? I have always thought a UV ceramic tint would be a good idea on the underside of the top. I know people have done windshields so seem plausible that it would work on the top, no?

I have not wrapped a transparent top before, but did put some 3M CF wrap on a solid top - it turned out very nice and totally changed the look of the top. I think the cost was around $200 +/-.

My quote was $200. I pulled the extra top out of the storage bag to take it to the guy only to find out the hardware had been stripped off of it. I guess I should have paid more attention to it when I purchased the car. Now I'm just keeping it as a spare in case I somehow break/scratch the other one.

You can still buy hardware for the top and still wrap? Just a thought then you’ll have 2 to switch back and forth.
