Leather 2LT vs 3LT durability

The Nappa in the 3lt feels great but we won't know for sure until it ages. I will be very pleased if it does anywhere near as well as the online info given says it will. It seems from GM's descriptions that just the seating surfaces are Nappa and the dash etc. are same as 1 and 2lt - for the price it would be nice if they took a small portion of that and upgraded the whole thing to Nappa - the material itself isn't THAT much more. As an example, my wife picked up some black Alcantara to do some hatch area trimming, 20 bucks a yard by like 52" wide. How much is it from GM?
Hopefully C7 leather is a better material than the C6 was. Due to a small rip in the C6 driver's side bolster I picked up a spare pair of seat skins that were treated with Wolfgang and left in the bag for four years, they were soft and supple when the car was sold (never installed). When mine in the car ripped it was like a white fabric backing with a very thin leather outer layer ("bonded" leather?).
The C6 2lt seemed alright for the first few years, it got Wolfgang every 4 months or so, then I read where it wasn't actually real leather and should be treated with a different kind of conditioner - don't know but continued with the leather conditioner. At 5 years it was pretty hard although very minimal creasing compared to some others I've seen. The car was always garaged, 27k miles.

My wife's 2013 Kia Optima SXL has Nappa Leather and it is very soft and supple. Im making sure to keep it that way with frequent use of Lexol products. We have only had it since July but it still feels great and no wrinkles. If I had the money for a C7 Z51 im not selling my self short for nothing less of the 3LT pkg.

While I was aprehensive with paying the extra money for the 3LT, I believe the Nappa Leather is far superior. I believe it will hold up much better over time. I have luxury brand Japanese car with 90,000 miles and the tan leather seats show very little wear and wrinkles compared to my C6 with half the miles. In a very short time, people will forget the cost.
Get the best and you will usually be happy.

Its similar, but you can definitely tell a difference. I had a MB E55 with Nappa and after many years and over 90K miles, it looked great. No wrinkles. No Fading. I Loved it. My 2011 M3 had Merino, and while I liked it when it was new, after a few months, it started to wrinkle, fade, and didnt have that silky feeling of nappa. I also had a 2008 BMW 550i Msport that stickered for $77K and it had that crap feeling dakota leather.
