After one week with C7
Blogs are usually people describing problems with their car. While the C7 sometimes feels like trying to operate Windows 9, and I still can't get my 60GB iPod to work, none are the end of the world.
I'm not rich, but I do have a string of multiple Mustangs, Camaros, Porsche 911's and RX7s in my past.
With one week of C7-Z51 under my belt I have to say it pulls toward redline without hesitation, like the Wankel in the '93 twin turbo RX7 except it pulls harder, maked sounds like it is loving to be doing it. It corners as well as any 911 I ever owned but with enough hint of being tail happy to put a big smile on my face drifting through a tight corner. And it brakes better than any car I've ever owned, period. If I took the big Z51 spoiler off and the nomenclature on the back of the car, it could pass for a Ferrari.
Thank you Bowling Green, thank you every one. If someone had told me this was going to happen I would have scoffed at them....but I think I'm falling in love.

Nice to hear Bill. Congrats on your new ride! Round these parts, we love pictures, too!
Couple questions if you have time;
a) I assume a 7 spd manual, yes?
b) Ride stiffness with the Z51 and MSRC? (compared to 911 if you can)
Thanks and thoroughly enjoy yourself!

C7 Happy Owners
I have owned every series Corvette over the years and have not been without a Corvette in my garage for over 50 years. Have a 2010 GS and will be buying a C7 next year.
I was surprised to see this post from Forum members who actually love their C7's. I have heard nothing but complaints from Forum members every since the final concept drawings came out.
Maybe it takes actually owning and driving one to appreciate a fine performance car that rivals European performance cars for 1/2 to 1/3 the purchase and maintenance cost.
I will buy my C7 next year even if there were still many naysayer's. I have had the worst years (1958) and the best years, so far (2010) and they continually get better.

My Porsches were older, much modified, and gone now so I can't make a suspension comparison that would be valid. Today it would be a comparison of Corvette MSRC to Porsche MSRC: they (and Ferrari, Audi, etc) are using the GM shock design in their high-end cars. They have validated the MSRC technology that GM invented/patented.
My wife HATED the 2005 Z51 ride. Stiff shocks and sway bars were the only way then and it really was overdone for a daily driver. My 2006 and 2007 both had MSRC and she went across country multiple times in those without any complaints. But I tracked the 2007 a few days on a rough surface track in Montana and it did very well.
In Touring position the C7's MSRC seems to provide less transfer of road harshness into the cabin. It's not dramatic, but clearly it is a little less road noise than Sport. I drive it in Sport because it seems to have slightly quicker response to throttle and steering inputs and hearing the road surface noise isn't a big deal to me. I've not driven it in Track mode for any distance.
I enjoy driving and love the Z51-MSRC combination. This is a real "drivers" car. Everyone is different and others might well say "t'aint worth it to me". It's nice to have the option, right?
I throw skis in the back and drive my car in the winter. A set of Michelin Pilot Sport 3 A/S tires will be here Friday. I'm taking this opportunity to powder coat the rims before putting the A/S tires on. I'll post a picture in about a week, that will undoubtedly produce some flames.

You can also remove those that don't have any first hand experience with a C7 and you have eliminated most of the Corvette forum.
