The rear end will grow on you but I do agree best angle is the side view.
I totally agree, and although the rear view is not the C7's best angle it is by no means ugly from any aspect - it is just even prettier from the side and front 3/4 views than from the rear.

Hello Jim! Every time a change is made to something it takes time to get use to the change, so I agree with your opinion on rear end view of C7. I am very interested in ordering a 2019 Stingray 8Sp Automatic but hear GM had had problems with them? Wondering if it was only a certain year or not? Also was contemplating a ZO6 till I read about the lawsuit owners have against GM for cars overheating easily and going into limp mode. For all the engineering that went into this car one would think GM should have recognized the problem with all the testing they did on it? Plus fixed the problem before being taken to court, owners payed over $100,000 for performance not this. Sorry for the rant. Cheers!

It is hard to tell what percentage of A8's have issues, but it is clear that more than just a few do. The problems seem to happen to most model years and are issues that GM has with some of their newer transmissions and not just in Vettes. My sports cars can only have manual trannies, so I have no personal experience on this one.
There are lots and lots of threads here where you can read the discussions about that - you could (and should) spend hours reading about what you might be getting into with an A8. I am not blessed with a Z06 but the overheating issue is real - there are multiple class actions on that issue but I don't think that often happens on the street.
There is a lot of good information on this forum, even if you sometime have to wade through a lot of pointless posts and some crazy fan boi BS. You should be able to answer your questions with some good searches and a lot of reading.
Now back to the real purpose of this thread please - posting and drooling over gorgeous TR C7s!

Thanks for info Jim! I will definitely look further into the 2 issues I mentioned. I have always had vettes with a standard transmission but alas being 70 years young thought I would go with an 8 speed Auto for my last car. But hate to pay little over $1000 dollar difference for one and I hear some owners have had problems with them. Cheers!
Hello Maxie! In regards to your reply, actually White is the most ordered colour for the C7. I have always had vettes in Red so why change now. Cheers!
