Ah, you caught me.....

Just can't seem to leave anything alone I guess so we'll be doing a few things to personalize things a bit. We've already done some subtle pin-striping, had the clear-bra installed, have the engine convers off for painting and I'm now painting the brake rotors. I've attached one sample of what we did for the hood.

On the rear we've designed a different paint treatment for the lower fascia. I'll post a picture of what it looks like when we're finished.

Yes, it was a difficult choice to change colors and not have at least one red Vette in the garage. But this car will be for our long-distance cruising and the silver with red interior will be a bit easier to keep looking good on our trips.

It's one end of the mount which holds what appears to be an electric pump which connects to the differential. You can't see it when the fascia is in place.

There's lot's of interesting things behind that panel as well as behind the wheel-well liners.

We're not taking too much apart other than that panel, the brake rotors and the engine plenum, coil covers and fuel rail covers. This is the time of year we put the Vette away anyway so it will give me something to play with over the winter. I had a brief thought of doing something with the hood grill, side fender grills, tail-light surrounds and the rear vender vent grills. The hood grill is easy to get to but after seeing the car put together during the Buyers Tour though I've thought better about tackling those other parts.

I bought these http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B...ilpage_o00_s00 The vendor states they are for the C7 Z06 and Z51. He adds that Z51 has the receiver on models made after 12/14/2014. I did not take the plate off the back but mine was built in May and I assume it is there, the front one is easily visible.
