Not that I've seen or heard, believe that's a testament to the low end torque of the LT1 with it's higher SCR and ultimately DCR from VCT.

Fixed.

I would agree with your tire assessment after a few thousand miles but my personal assessment of the GYs on my '08Z is that they hooked very well until three or four thousand miles, then they just went away. I believe even Ranger said they were good when new, as well as some other competent drivers. If the GYs (again, before putting the miles on them) were THAT bad, why do the stock Zs only pick up less than three tenths on DRs?
The newest stock C6Z on the fast list is a 2011 at 11.7, with a next gen tire.

Snorman, thank you for sharing. You made some pretty bold claims early on and backed them up. Will you please pick me some lotto numbers?

So I guess that all the Z07's out there with Michelin PS Cup tires never went to the drag strip. I mean, if they had, I'm sure they'd have been running at least as fast as the DR cars.
Or maybe not. Maybe it's just the usual clueless trolls who have to dig into their usual bag of excuses to justify why they look so foolish after insisting the C7 would be a performance failure.

Well, Snorman and I both agree that he can out run this 71 year old cripple with his C7. LOL.

While agree with you about Joe, I don't agree that the C7 is as fast as a Z06. The a6 is a launching machine and is much easier to get down the 1/4 but if both cars are driven to their full potential the Z06 is the faster car.

As is typical in what would have been an otherwise positive thread about a C7 the naysayers have their say.

After a few reports of posts prompted me to read and review the posts in the entire thread.

We have violations on thread hijacking, personal attacks, derogatory posts, name calling and of course, off topic posting.

Frankly, if I were to go in and delete the offending posts there would be almost no content left. My decision is simply going to be to lock this thread. It is the far simpler thing to do rather than exchanging PM's and emails with so many explaining what rules you know you violated.

Here's my free advice. The C7 is the real deal and a serious performer. Trust me, I have one unlike so many of you critics. Either accept that or just move on. There are so many other topics, please try to find one that you can play nice in or just don't post. You guys are testing my patience.

This car is so amazing. GM and Team Corvette have produced a world beater and a performance bargIn of the century. I am getting so very tired of people posting and attacking members and members and owners are leaving the site or stopping posting because of all the negativity. It must stop. You are sucking the happy out of my happy place.
