What's the deal with the yellow headlights?

Perhaps GT/ALMS racing inspiration?
Here's a high-res rendering, with some more detail on the wing:

So far digging it except for the silver side cove covering.
Interested in seeing what that wing looks like from behind.

I LOVE this thing. The Front Grille is amazing as is the side skirts and the the exhaust treatment. They just turned a C7 into a car with Lamborghini styling cues and it WORKS!
I hope this kit becomes avaliable.
The yellow tinted headlights is a nod to the Le Mans racres of the mid 60's when many of them had yellow tinted lights. With quatz halaogen bulbs this was best for all weather conditions including rain.

Melting Slicks
Nope. They lost me with the wing. Is it aerodynamic or for that "tuner boy racer" look? Gran Turismo is just a video game anyway. Other design aspects of the car are interesting though.

Sony executive and Grand Turismo Producer Kazunori Yamauchi introduces the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Gran Turismo concept Monday, November 4, 2013 at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Corvette Stingray concept will appear in the new Sony PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6, commemorating the game's 15th anniversary. (Photo by Isaac Brekken for Chevrolet)
Slimmer, longer mirrors look good too. Note the Cup 2 tires.
From autoguide.com:
"Unveiled at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas the Corvette Stingray Gran Turismo concept is a real world creation based off the virtual sports car.
A show highlight, you can’t miss the stunning deep-blue paint and yellow-tinted headlamps, just like on the Corvette race cars. Set off against the blue are a host of carbon fiber add-ons like the front splitter, side skirts and rear spoiler, not to mention a custom carbon fiber hood.
Unique to this Stingray are the vents on the front fenders and rear haunches, as well as a custom front grille and exhaust pipes.
The racing-style front tow-hook hints at what’s inside with full racing harnesses, as well as custom Competition Sport seats and a flat-bottom steering wheel.
Power continues to come from the awesome 6.2-liter V8 which delivers 460 hp with the sport exhaust system and as a true enthusiast’s machine it, of course, comes with manual transmission – Chevy’s new 7-speed unit we might add.
So is all this a sign of things to come for the Stingray? We can only hope."
