Tail light squeak eliminated.
Well, most of it.
Went out to wash my car this morning and got super annoyed with the squeak. After I was done washing it I looked into what was causing the squeak.
On my car it was the "Fangs" on the tail light bezel. You can actually press up on it and see it rubbing the tail light.
I took it off and used a die grinder to file it down.
Put it back on and it's gone! Well at least most of it. It's still rubbing on the bottom outer edge of the tail light but I'm not going to file that down. I'm going to go get some felt tape and put a small piece on that.
About 15 minutes total to do both.

Melting Slicks
Very good. I am sure a lot of C7 owners will be doing this. Maybe even GM will see your thread and do something similar before putting them on the car.

There are clips that hold it in all around. I'll add pics of the trim so you see where they are. I used a towel and a plastic pry bar to "spread the tabs apart.
Hopefully gm fixes it. It's very simple to do. They need to just revise the mold so it doesn't interfere.

I considered using felt tape but I just know that it would fall off eventually as well as you will be able to see it if you look for it. Not that anyone is going to go stare at the top of your tail lights but I know it's there. LOL When grinding it down you won't be able to tell a difference in how it looks on the car.

I warn you, be careful with what you use to pry the bezel out. You can mar your paint on the rear bumper or scratch your bezel.
