Some of the European viewers of this video, complained that the
American workers didn't look very professional, because they weren't
wearing uniforms. lol

You know, when I was at the plant, that thought did cross my mind. They wear jeans and t-shirts. It really doesn't look very professional, but who sees it? The paint guys wears special suits but the others, just street clothes. I did find that a bit off. Just an observation.

If GM provided uniforms to all the workers you could expect another $100 added to the invoice on each vette. I am sure the workers prefer to wear their own clothes.

Uniforms would look a lot better. Looked very sloppy.

I also agree . Now I know where most of my fine sratches came from. The assemblers rubbing against the body panels with their blue jeans. In particular the gentleman installing the rear hatch latch.
The other source that no one wants to talk about is why GM would park completed cars out in the parking lot, allow them to collect dirt and then have the trucking company place white covers on dirty cars. A recipe for more paint scrathes. Solution, cover the cars before they leave the plant. I have spent the last three days buffing, trying to correct a problem that was avoidable. Wise up BG.
