William I checked the Chevy Tracker this morning and it shows I'm built. Would it be possible to get me a VIN today. I leave for vacation tomorrow and I get back on the night of 22 July . I leave to go pick up my car on the 23 so it will really push me to go rent a car , go pay off the vette and get insurance on the then drive to Bowling Green in time for my meeting on the 23 rd HELP,!!

Well, maybe they need to find better wording to describe where the car is. I think the average buyer will interpret "shipped / en route" as meaning the car in on a truck that has left Bowling Green.
I had requested status of my order, twice, and the response I got was to use the Car Locator web site.
I think as Corvette buyers, we're all excited about our purchases and anticipate the day we can take possession. GM can do a much better job of providing us with meaningful, ACURATE... information about the status of our order.

As for better wording, here are all the status levels between produced and delivered at the dealer. Your dealer can give you that status if he wants to.
4000 Vehicle Available to Ship
4104 Bailment Invoice Created
4B00 Bayed
4D00 On Hold At Plant
4P00 Hand Off To Carrier
4106 Bailment Released
4150 Vehicle Invoiced
4200 Vehicle Shipped
4300 Intermediate Delivery
4V03 Estimated Delivery Date
4800 Rail Ramp Unload

Who told you to "use the Car Locator web site?" If it was your dealer, they suck. They have the status available with a few key strokes, any time they want. They are making thousands of dollars on your purchase, and should provide a little customer service for that price. As a reference to good service, I got a weekly progress report by e-mail, as well as a PDF copy of the OrderWORKBENCH document every time the status changed. I would suggest you talk to the Sales Manager or General Manager at your dealer, and demand the service your purchase entitles you to.

I went back to 7/8 to find the message suggesting using the Order Tracker web site. I didn't notice it at the time but this info was posted by Doug526 (at 12:05 PM), who more than likely has nothing to do with Customer Service. He's a junior member and maybe he called himself trying to be helpful. Mine was not the only request he answered. If he's reading this, I suggest he butt's out and let Customer Service handle status requests. All of the confusion could have been prevented if he hadn't butted in. The information available at Order Tracking is next to worthless, but I didn't know that at the time.
And apologies to any Grandmas rocking a C7 or any other vette.

we currently show rvtskr at 3300 - scheduled for production. Your tentative tpw is july 21. However, this process can take time, is subject to change based on plant schedule, and does not mean that the vehicle is physically being built at that time.

Hi! My order number: RTKMRW (dealer in NH)
A week ago, my dealer said I was at 4200, bayed in Toledo.
Any change since then? Have I caught a train yet? Rail car #?
