Wow....that is wow!!! I also have LRG 2014 2LT....getting ready to dress up engine. Did you take off lower fuel rails or is that an overlay....the reason I ask is that tube on passenger side, how did you get that out? Also did you use tuck kit to get rid of wires on passenger side....if so is that a hard job....again congrats...looks excellent!!!!

That is amazing
To compliment the other official color threads, here's the Lime Rock Green Metallic version.
I decided to get a first-year C7 specifically because of this color, and I am not at all disappointed. It is very stunning, especially in bright sunlight. Although it also takes on a sinister quality when it's not popping.
(That's a bit of dust on top of the spoiler.)
And I think it's the best color for the Brownstone interior.
The only "down side" to this color for me is that I like it to look great, so I spend a lot more time making it look good than I did with my '09 Cyber Gray coupe.

I also am not into green for cars but if I were, this would be the color. Your car looks amazing. I saw one in the showroom but in the sunlight it really stands out. Amazing dude!!!

I got the Lime Rock Green with Kalahari interior and chrome wheels. People are all over the car when I go somewhere. Surely one of the most beautiful cars out there!

I must sat however that I didn't expect and don't like the gray mats and carpet

Questions about Lime Rock Green
I'm currently trying to get my dealer to submit an order for an artic white 2015 2LT convertible with 8 speed auto. But getting allocations this late into the model year is tough, so may have to give up on that and wait until Aug for a 2016.
HOWEVER, I've always dreamed of having a dark green with tan Vette.
Such a shame they discontinued the gorgeous LRG for 2015.
Certainly makes it rare and potentially a future collectors item!
A few questions:
1. How difficult is it to keep LRG looking clean? (especially in dusty California).
2. Does it show water spots?
3. For those of you with tan tops-----have they developed any black streaks?
4. Can you put a convertible Vette through a car wash? (I'm so spoiled having the hardtop on my Cadillac XLR- never an issue taking it through a car wash)
5. There are a handful of unsold new LRG 2014's. What would be a reasonable price to pay? A new 2LT with auto can be picked up for $63k ($58k with the supplier discount). Yet most 2014 LRG's I've seen on autotrader are listed $68-72k. Will a dealer accept the supplier discount on a 2014?
6. Is the 6 speed auto that much slower and clunkier than the new 8 speed?
7. Does the 2014 have more reliability issues than the 2015?
Thanks in advance!

Since we are on the topic of Lime Rock Green, I'll post this picture. I'll be there to pick it up in 4 hours and 32 minutes (not that I'm counting). It's not a new Vette - but its my new Vette. Trading in my trusty old 2001 C5 that I've had since December of 2000. Brownstone with suede inserts for the interior BTW. Its a z51 3Lt with 7,800 miles.

If you can get one for $63k I think that would be good. New of course.

Mark, I can't answer all your questions since I don't have a vert.... but I'll do my best with the others.... as long as you realize that my opinions are those of just one person.
1. Keeping clean. In dusty locations or driving in the rain, the rear end will collect dust / dirt that may not show up as much on a lighter colored car but I don't see that as a big problem. I'll either wash the entire car or just the tail end if it's light.
2. Show water spots?? No, not if you wash / dry properly. Again, some things that may not be noticeable on a white or gray car may be a little more visible on a darker color.
4. I'll answer partially since I have a coupe. I would NEVER run my C7 through a car wash. Just my opinion. I wash it by hand.
5. How good a negotiator are you? Do your research and don't get suckered in just because it's green. Let the buyer beware.
6. 6 speed is fine unless you're planning on tracking the car, then there may be some minor advantages to the 8 speed. My 2LT, 2 top, non Z-51, Kalahari interior is a spectacular performer. I'm very happy with the 6 speed.
7. I would expect no difference in reliability between the 14's and 15's. Except for the 8 speed, they're the same car.
Mine was delivered in mid July and currently has about 4300 miles. I'm extremely happy with the car.

2. Yes, but if you have a good base of wax (or Zaino in my case) they come off easily.
3 I have a coupe so ???
4. Always hand wash mine...
5. the remaining new LRG verts are probably Special Editions that MSPR at over $80k. But dealers that have one are probably dealing.
6. I have a 6 speed and don't see the advantage of two more gears
7. 10000 miles on mine and trouble free (except for the flickering infotainment screen)

This is my LRG Vert
As you can see I went with the black top, to not have that black streak problem.
I always hand wash my car.

Not sure, but I took delivery on March 8, 2014. It gets a look of looks and favorable comments-surprising that it was a one year color.
