Default HUD Display Tilted

The HUD works perfectly but but it is tilted approximately 5-10 degrees clockwise. I've had a couple of different people look at it and all have agreed that it is tilted.

Has anyone else seen this?

Did you try and fix it, were you successful and how?

I don't think it actually is. Read this and see what you think:

I read through the entire post. I believe the consensus (80-20) was that the display is tilted and that no one has found it annoying enough to go to the trouble of having it fixed. As one member, the weather is getting bad and maybe it is time to take it in. RAD22 suggested it is caused by the curvature of the wind shield. Moving the HUD up/down effects the tilt. I'll check that out tomorrow.

Okay. Just offering what I've seen, since I don't have a C7. Hope it works out with no problems.

I've noticed the same thing, if it is from the hood or even the curve of the windshield can't it be overcompensated by tilting the actual device in the opposite direction so that it appears straight to the driver?

I moved it around and it still looks tilted. My car is in for service right now and that's on my list. We will see what GM will say but I'm guessing they are going to come back with "Functions as intended" LOL

I've got a C6 with HUD and the display is also "tilted". I think its an optical illusion caused by the hood.

Mine isn't tilted.

I don't think it ever looked tilted. I made sure by parking the car face into towards a wall that has lines running horizontally. It's not tilted.

My dealer is working with GM to see if there is a way that they can adjust the tilt. As yet I have not heard anything from them. Surprised to hear someone has one that is actually not tilted, since every one I have seen is. Some think it's an optical illusion, but in reality there is a slight tilt to the right. Dropping it down towards the hood does take away some of the tilt, but it is still not straight.

It does appear to be slightly tilted to the right, but it is so slight that it is not a issue for me. And, I do not want a technician messing with it as it works perfectly.

I think most of us are just spending too much time in the fast lane which slopes a little to the left. That kinda forces the driver to lean a little to the right, hence, the HUD tilt issue.
