Have fun at your first meet. I did the same thing back in 98 when the C5 first came out....we had lots of onlookers and great times for many years. Was C5s only for quite a while, then it opened up to all generations....we learned a lot from each other and made some great lifetime friends.

....most welcome Glen. Here's a tip you might like. You will most likely be the ringleader for your events...once you set up a 'meet for lunch' get together be sure to insist on separate checks. Don't offer to pay the entire bill with each guy reimbursing you at the venue. I found out the hard way that there are many who cannot figure out the tax and tip on their total meal. Cost me $60 over and above my share...that was an expensive burger and beer!

LOL.....I've put boating trips together to the Bahamas for years for mercury marine, and have seen most all the angles...this is just a parking lot meet up and nothing else....if anybody is eting or drinking, they're bringing it.....

Then there is the other side. I knew a guy who would always insist on a single check but he would tell us exactly what we owed. I wondered why he always did this (and we are talking about some nice tabs, there were 15-20 of us on that committee) and he said he wrote off all the meals on his taxes. I know he had close to $2000 yearly from this one committee alone.
