How to stop horn blowing when vehicle locks?
I have a 2016 Corvette Stingray, I have been trying to read the owners manual and can not figure out how to stop the horn from blowing when you are walking away from the vehicle. With the fob in my pocket, after a few seconds, the door's will lock and the horn will blow one time. Is there any way to stop this from happening. I don't mind the door's locking but the horn blowing is a little annoying. Thanks

Thanks for the info, worked great. Guess I'm just old school but I don't like my vehicle locking itself, If I want to lock it, will just hit the button on the fob. Thanks

Mine locks, no honk but the lights flash. One less thing to worry about when out driving the car.

Guess we just live in different worlds... I never feel the need to lock mine and it has never done so on its own. STAY WELL!

I can keep my 2014 from giving the beep if I get away from the door quickly. It only seems to do it when the fob is close to the door when it locks.

I'm the same. I don't want my car locked when it is sitting in my garage. So I just use the lock button on the door when I get out like I do with my 14 Silverado. I do have it set up to unlock when I walk up to it with the fob in my pocket.

On my C5 its easy to get into the DIC and choose "Lights" "Horn" or "Lights & Horn" for when you lock it. The horn is super loud in my garage so I like having just the lights flash when I MANUALLY lock it.

Our 2016 Z51 is set to beep the horn when auto locking. If I don't want horn to beep in certain places, I hit the door lock button on the driver's door as I'm getting out of the car. The door will lock as it closes, however, the horn will not beep that time.
Many options for the owner.
