[QUOTE=Michael A;1585531507]I've never seen such a thing here. In fact, just the opposite. There was a thread where a number of people were buying 1LTs. Compare a 1LT to a base Porsche, and the C7 1LT is literally loaded. The C7 is a great car and well equipped without even one option.

I think of 1LTs as a supermodel in jeans and a T

I like that perspective!

I ordered a 1LT Z51 Vert, my preference. Love it. Didn't want all the BS included with the higher optioned versions. Just my thing.

I say, buy the 1LT and then mod it to what you like. When you are cruising down the road and turning heads, I can promise they are not saying "oh, thats only a 1LT". Enjoy the ride! Congrats!

I went with the 1LT package for my '17 GS Vert as the additional features of the 2LT didn't interest me. You don't typically get to the point where you can purchase most anything you want, by purchasing things you don't want.

I have a 2015 1LT and proud of it.
I have added on the things I really wanted like Black Wheels, Stinger Stripe and Gray Interior Accents.

Silver Stinger Strip with Black Stingray Side Stripe and Red Hash Marks as an homage to the Grand Sport.

2LT Gray Dash Pad and Custom Gray/Black Console Cover

Aluminum Paddle Shifter Extensions

Vintage Stingray Emblems

a la carte, FTW.

1LT package + ...
3LT leather
Memory seats (no heated/cooled)
Dry sump
ELSD

To clarify, that would be how I would order it if you could pick and choose options.

Great discussion.

The equation really changes when you buy used. I just picked up a 2015 2LT Z51 with another $8K (sticker) of options for maybe $4K more than a completely base C7 of the same year, miles and condition would have cost me. So it was a pretty easy decision to get all that stuff for < $.25 on the dollar. I think at even $.50 on the dollar I’d have much rather gone basic. Having been in the car a few days now, I can already tell that a 1LT non-Z51 delivers 99% of what you obtain a C7 for.

Not to say I’m not enjoying all the bells and whistles

The only things I really cared about were GS Coupe, manual transmission, and Comp Sport seats. Next down the list were exterior color, and no black wheels. I am very happy with my 1LT. The rest of the options are just "fluff".

Unless getting a Z06 in the 1LT you dont get the HUD. Which is a shame.

Not to mention no Lumbar in the seats. How they produce a seat today in a modern automobile without lumbar of any type is beyond me.

I ordered a 1LT Z51 because it had everything I wanted and nothing I didn't want.
A 1LT by NO means is stripped down.

Also, have a non-Z51 1LT. Had the spoiler and exhaust, and added in the Z51 wheels after I purchased. Wonderful car and to each his own. The only negative feedback I have gotten is from 1) people who don't own a Corvette 2) people who don't know what the heck they are talking about. I was told once it must suck to have so much less HP having a non-Z51. Um yeah, ok..... it's still 460hp. This C6 owner I was conversing with was actually serious. Was also asked another time how I can live without the heads up display. Well, I live without it in my 67 Vette and do just fine with that, so...... LOL :-)

I agree, why pay for stuff you don't want or need. The $4500 saved almost paid for my convertible upgrade and that's lot more fun that the few trinkets the 2LT package gets you.
And you are correct, hardly stripped down

Had a 2015 1LT and loved it. Will pick up my new 2019 1LT tomorrow (will be my 5th Vette to date). IMO less is best when it comes to gadgets and most of the whistles and bells on today's cars). New car has A8 and performance exhaust. That is all that matters to me. Can't wait.

It has a lumbar support...it is just not adjustable.

That's correct, and I find the 1LT seats very comfortable as seems most others do.
