2/17/19 Weekly Corvette Delivery Post/Corvette throwback pics*Mike Furman@Criswell***
~I've been on thousands of test drives over the years...I've probably logged more Corvette miles on test drives than I've driven any one of my 18 Corvettes combined.
Law of averages I guess. I usually take the same 3 mile route each time. What made me think of this is I counted how many test drives this past week...17!
Most folks want to decide on which transmission fits their needs best or comfort behind the wheel. In all these years I only have had one driver get pulled over for speeding
and I talked the officer out of giving my customer a ticket. He wasn't driving reckless as I won't allow that but the speed limit changed from 50 to 35 on a road neither one
of us usually travelled. I don't take that road anymore!
*Speaking of speeding...if you plan on going out to Ron Fellows Spring Mountain Race Track in Pahrump, Nevada...I will be out there with Corvette customers 3 times this year.
The first class is a ZR1 class and it filled up within hours. Those dates are March 9th-13th.
~July 19th-23rd~ July 21st/22nd Corvette Owners School. That is the Corvette class I will be in. There is also a Corvette owner school on July 20th/21st and July 22nd/23rd. I plan on doing a couple of dinners at The Clubhouse with all three
Corvette owner schools and spend time with as many Corvette owners as possible. *Schedule during the Summer and there is an extra $300 value.
~October...no date confirmed yet but I usually plan on the very first days of October for the Corvette owners school.
Call Melinda or Donna for all questions and reservations. 800 391-6891
"These classes are Open to all Corvette customers/enthusiasts."
~Spotlight on one delivery this week
~Tom G. of Germantown, Maryland lives only minutes from Criswell so a few weeks ago he stopped in looking for his 2nd Corvette...his last Corvette was a 1984! We searched my inventory and inbound units and found that
we had this Torch Red Grand Sport just about to be built. He put down a deposit and waited. The other day Tom cruised by and as luck would have it his new Corvette was just being unloaded and unwrapped.
Tom’s new GS has Auto trans, 1LT Pkg, Black Wheels, Red calipers and CF badge Pkg. He drove away with an expression on his face like an 8 yr old on Christmas morning.
The day it arrived Tom happened to be driving by Criswell Chevrolet. That doesn't happen too often!
~Others that left the yard this week....
~I currently own a Marina Blue 1967 Corvette but most people know that the 1963 Corvette Split Window may be in my future...found these awesome pictures
of a 63 S/W down in South America and I had to share...what a great color combo.
~The Frank Class Corvette Barn Find and throwback section...post up which is your favorite pic.
Same 1957 Corvette 50+ years apart. The Uncle is pictured above in 1958 and the nephew below a few years ago after he bought his Uncle's 57 at an auction.
~Have a great week!! I will be out of the office Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday attending a GM meeting.

This car drove me nuts in 1966 when I first saw it? I remember the first 1968 Corvette I saw was a white/red coupe. I said wow they built the Mako Shark!!!

Mike, LOVED today's entry....so many terrific oldies pictures to choose from. Since the '63 Split Window originally drew me to Corvette, I especially loved all of the Split Window pictures. This is my favorite print ad. Being in advertising, I love reading these oldies but goodies!
