Right now I can have a contact from my phone dialed by using Siri. Would it be possible to also have her find an address, and transmit that to the GPS?

Strongly second the V1 app request.

Also, I would love an SMS txt reader with simple voice selected txt responses for android first, then iOS phones. Would be cool if it showed the txt with a linked contact photo if available also.

Another idea is a configurable info display. Lots of good info available on the main display, but not at the same time. Seeing current speed vs speed limit, digital gauge data, g data, etc. basically, a configurable multi data display app.

Looks like you could essentially duplicate the OnStar vehicle monitoring email onscreen.

Ford Sync already has all this. I agree it would be cool to have it all available to the Mylink as well.

I'd love to see a Fuelly app for the C7. Not really Corvette specific but it would be nice to have.

I thought you could make web service calls from the car without going thru onstar. Is that not the case?

Any way you could tap into GPS or other sensors for track logging?

Yes you can access the GPS.

Not sure why you'd want to with 20 dollar apps out there (Harry's laptimer comes to mind) that automatically log times and take videos and overlay information on the video for you. It works exceptionally well.

I was thinking access to vehicle specific metrics (rpm, tire temp, oil temp.....)

You can do that as well (not sure of all the metrics you can monitor) with Harry's laptimer via an OBD plugin. It will transmit the data to Harry's and overlay that as well if you wish on the video.

Looks like the GM Developer program is now by invitation only. And no app store. And no upgrade path for my 2014.

I predict a total fail of any app ecosystem ever being made until all cars standardize on something from one of the big three - Apple, Google, or maybe Microsoft.

Just put something heavy enough to light the "airbag on" in the passenger seat and you can enter text all day long.

Now that's just too simple LOL!! I'll have to try that. About how much weight would that be I wonder.

Default My suggestion

Escort Live app that currently ties the Escort detector to the iPhone. Eliminate the step to tie it to the phone.
