No more manual clutches for me. This ought to be interesting when the Z06 in unveiled next month as to manual only or is there an optional Automatic.

Oh Baby. I am glad I waited. Birthday present for me next fall. LRG, 8 Speed Auto. I was set on a manual but the wife doesn't drive stick. I can't buy a car she can't drive, too many times we have to help each other out with rides for one reason or another.

I can drive my C7 now and have an excuse to upgrade later if there is any real advantage other than bragging about having an 8-speed.

I guess I could rationalize and say I’m getting a proven transmission rather than a new product.

Not being catty here, I hope the new transmission is perfect out of the gate. I’m sure I’ll really enjoy what I’m getting. Don

That's what I doing too, C7 delivery at the museum on 7th of January, then wait two or three years.

8 speeds shift a lot......I'm happy with my 6 but certainly think it's a great upgrade, perfect for me trading for a 2016 and let them work out the bugs in 15....

From my understanding the current 6-speed is quite good in the C7. If they change to a different transmission I would expect it to be amazing. More gears isn't always better.

I hope that the engineers are making the decisions and not marketing.

There are many folks, myself included, who simply will not buy unless the performance variant has the option of an automated transmission.

That being said, I'm not a double clutch fanatic or anti-Tadge. But, we can't pretend he didn't say those words on numerous occasions and in numerous videos during 2013.

At this point we are thinking C7 manual, but a DCT with a lightening fast shift would be worth considering!

My C7 will be an antique before I get it. NOT HAPPY. I think I will just let someone else have it, Talk about price dropping when you drive it off the lot! Here is what will be available at the dealer-coming soon. C7, Torch red, 3LT, Z51, blk. wheels, red seats, auto trans(THE CHEAP 6 SPEED), NPP, Red calipers, hood stinger, cf interior, cf mirrors and spoiler. Send me a PM if interested, I will let the first five interested parties know when it arrives. It is near Dallas. It was at code 3400 about 2 weeks ago. I'm going out to the garage and hug my C6.

They said first would be deeper, I can imagine second and third being as well.

should mean an even quicker jaunt down the old 1320.
