Hi Cole,
The glue we use expands and will fill any voids. Just make sure
they are very clean (brake cleaner works great)and scuffed up with the supplied sand paper.

My C7 is not here yet but I will order the fang kit as I busted the support on both my 2005 and 2009. Expensive and annoying to replace this poorly engineered piece.
