Default $ 4,750 Discount on Z51 Vert.

My wife has a C7 convertible with Z51 on order.

Traded in a C6 for $25,000 which saved us $1,750 in sales tax.

Cashed in 3,000 GM Card points.

Saved us $ 4,750 off sticker on the price of the new car.

Well, not really a discount then is it? You just paid it differently using points and got a tax break.

Didn't realize that GM was accepting GM card points for the C7, if true that's great.

Exactly! Could have possibly done the same thing at a different dealer and saved more.

You can use your earned points, just not the extra bonus points that a lot of us just got notified of.
I was just bumped up to 3000 points, but I am already at 2200 so not that big of a deal.
I'll be able to go to 2500 soon and I'm leaning towards that on a 2015 vert.

he said C6, made no mention of it being a Z06. If that's the case, he got it with no lube.

At least you have a car and got sales tax credit. No such deals here in the Golden State. Enjoy

I sold my car and the dealer where I am ordering my car did a courtesy sale for me so I can get the tax credit. I am paying sticker but at least got a bit more than trade on my car and still get the tax break. I am struggling a bit with the msrp but my dealer has 7 orders for Z51's and is not going to budge. I think it is funny when people brag about getting this and that off of msrp, maybe the guy paying msrp makes $300,000.00 a year and the guy getting $3000.00 off msrp makes $100,000.00 a year. Msrp guy still comes out ahead by $197,000.00.
