QUOTE=ENCT;1585896833]I hate to say I am not in love yet. I have never driven a Corvette and have only sat in a C7 once. I sold my 2014 GT500 based on my first impression and am looking forward to a new relationship with my Stingray. I hope it is all I have heard about.
Eric[/QUOTE]

Maybe you should wait for the Z07 since you are coming from 662hp.
I would @ least drive both for sure. I'm really talking about 1/4 mile times cause the C7 will out handle the GT500.

Ever since I was knee-high to a grasshopper:

My dad was an executive with Chevy and he brought home lots of Corvettes over the years.

I think I was about 12 (1982ish) when I started going to car shows with my friend and his dad. His dad had a couple restored Jags and would show them. When not showing his cars he would attend other shows and drag us along. That's where I really noticed the C2 and fell in love.

Prior to that I had really only seen the C3's on the street, at least that I noticed. I never liked the C3 at all and had no interest, probably partly due to Luke Skywalker starring in Corvette Summer with that hideous car.

When I got my license the C4 was out and I thought it was okay, but when the ZR1 came out it resparked my interest in Corvettes and my C7 will be my third ('04, '11, and now '14).

1962 in Green Lake, Wisconsin. A guy drove his 1962 red convertible up from Chicago and the first time I saw it I was in love. Took 51 years but 6 months ago I bought a 2004 red mag II and drove it home to San Jose area from Ohio. Have tried to not make it a daily driver but just love going into the garage, looking at it and saying what the hell - lets go.

Oh you got the Corvette fever. A lot of us know the joy of driving the car but only a select few know the joy of just sitting back and admiring your Corvette. It is a drug....

Two years and two months ago when, on a warm early November day, my sales manager brought his '66 red metallic 427 vert to the office. Hated the car; loud, noisy, rode rough, overheated all the time; but something about it awakened the awareness in me.

So the following Saturday, I went to a Hyundai dealer, test drove a 2007. I hadn't driven a stick in 28 years but, what the heck, it wasn't my bodywork. I got through the test-drive without stalling it so I then found a 2008 to test-drive. Mastered the second gear start (by accident). I went home. Wife asked where I was all day. I said test-driving Vettes. She said "You were serious?" Next day I found a 2009, brought her along. Saw this little smile when she saw it in the showroom (she thought all Corvettes were still C3's.) I bought that one.

That has been love every since. I want a C7 when I'm in CF. When I'm in the garage or driving it, I couldn't care less.

My son has my old 2011 GT500 with mods is at 698 RWHP so I can always take that out when I need a fix. I really like the C7 looks and interior compared to the GT500. Also I am more looking for normal street duty, 662 was hard to utilize when you spin thru 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Basically looking forward to more of a sports car instead of muscle car.

When the 1997 was unveiled. It was love at first sight. I have not been disappointed since. I have owned a C5 and a C6 and I will own a C7.

Ever since I can remember. Around 1980 when I was in elementary school my friend's cousin had a C3 and I LOVED IT! I have wanted to own one ever since and hopefully I will take possession of my first Corvette by the end of this month!

My freshman year in college in 1967, I drove around with a friend of mine who had a 67 convertible and man was that car noticed. I felt great just being in the car. In 1991, I bought a 78 to drive around in and was hooked, sold it and in 1993 bought a 68 big block convertible which I sold in 1997. The fever has hit again, and I will buy myself a C7 as a retirement present.

I have never fallen in love with any car or thing. I have always liked the Corvette and plan on buying a C7. I have only been in love with my wife and several other girls in the past.

Back in 1962 when I was 12 years old, a friend of mine had an older brother who was 20 or 21. I was at their house one day and the older brother's friend pulled up in a 1961 red vert. Said to myself, one day I will own one of those. Well, took 50 years, but dream was fulfilled in Nov. 2012 when I did NCM delivery of a 2013 coupe, SSB, A6. Yeah, it's a 1LT, but I ordered it the way I wanted it and it is paid for. Sometimes when I go out to the garage I have to pinch myself, man I own a Vette!!!

I was 4 years old an my father came home with a 1/32nd scale Eldon Slot car set. It had a blue 1963 corvette coupe with operating headlamps. It was obsession at first site! Since then I have enjoyed owing 4 Vettes. a 69, 82, 96, 99.

Although I switch to Vipers in 2005, sold my last one in 2010 and figure I would wait for the new models to come out. At this point I really like what I see of the Z06 so that may be my next ride!

In the early 60's a 58-60 pulled up along side of the family sedan, I was in the back seat, it was the prettiest car I have ever seen. My cousin's boyfriend had a '62 fuelie, baddest sounding car I ever heard, up to that point. He then had a new '67 coupe, my first ride which sealed the deal for me. Looking out over those fender peeks, awesome. Then at age 23 I bought my first Corvette, a '67 big-block with side pipes. The new baddest sounding car I had ever heard. I still own and love this car!

Have never fallen in Love with any of my cars. No problems
dropping the keys and driving off in something else.
The Corvette to me was just the next step up from
having Firebirds in high school.
